We drove all the way from Jacksonville to try this place. It was definitely worth the drive. My kids enjoyed the food just as much as my husband and I did. The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was on point. The music had me vibing while stuffing my face. Simultaneously telling my 17 yr old ohhh I grew up on this you hear that!? Food was so good my 17 yr old fell asleep waiting for my 6 yr old to finish. 10/10 recommend

Found this spot thanks to visiting my favorite dessert food truck that said they’d be parked this weekend in front of the Dank Burrito Morehead City location. As a former NYC and So. Californian foodie, the restaurant’s moniker piqued my interest.
I must say, come hungry for lunch or dinner! The portions are great and the menu choices are flavorful. Tried the Bang Bang Shrimp bowl and it did not disappoint, loved the crunchy shrimp with just the right amount of sweet chili/sriracha/mayo combo added so the dish wasn’t drowning in the sauce.
Next I tried the Plain Jane beef burrito, a mild burrito with all the fixings but you can request, for example, extra beef or no beans, etc. It was generously sized, and perfect for those who want a hearty but healthy burrito, and want to ease up on the spices. It was delicious, I could only eat half and saved the rest otherwise I’d fall asleep while driving back home to New Hanover County.
Overall the food is deliciously seasoned, fresh, fun as in flavorful. and my only caveat is that I can’t decide what to order next time. The menu reads like a food bazaar. It’s not your typical burrito, and there’s the Tex/Mex influence, but there’s also Thai, and Japanese flavor pairings as well. Love the homage to ’90s graffitti out front, as it stands out just like the food. If you miss the ecletic NYC vibe of a tasty lunch in Astoria or East Williamsburg, or if you are homesick (as I was) for an L.A. style pork belly burrito, I would say this would be where you’d find it, but better than that, it’s downright North Carolinian all the way, from the hearty portions, friendly service, and the dishes described as flavor bombs, emanating from each bite.

Dank Burrito is literally one of the best things I’ve discovered since moving to North Carolina! The flavors are incredible and there’s always something different to try, so it never gets old. I love that you can get everything as tacos or in a bowl depending on what you’re in the mood for.
The prices are great, the queso is the best I’ve ever had, and the whole place just has a fun vibe. Even the building itself is cool and adds to the experience.
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Great food, great prices, and a really fun spot!

Not sure what to get??? Try the Jerk Chicken bowl. The whole fam loves coming here and I enjoy using the drive thru when we are in a hurry. My last visit I tried the crème brûlée and it was delicious! Thanks for always having friendly staff and always being so yummy. See y’all soon 🙂

We had a great time here! They’re very knowledgeable on what’s gluten free and they have great service. The food was delicious and the chips were really good. All tacos can be gluten free except the teriyaki.

We have been enjoying their creations for years! We love it so much We buy multiple things, bring it home, freeze wrap it and enjoy it later. Especially around Thanksgiving time. My husband absolutely loves that burrito and will eat them everyday if he could. We buy between 7-10 burritos and freeze them so he will be able to enjoy them when they aren’t making them. It is a limited item so trying it is a must-have for anyone who loves Thanksgiving food.

Cool and funky dining room along with creative flavors? Yes please! I enjoyed both of my visits, getting different menu items both times. Really enjoyed both of the interesting takes on familiar ingredients. Pork belly was crispy and delicious. Would recommend.

Definitely a cool little taco burrito shop with not your typical type menu. I highly recommend this establishment if you like this style of food.

We had a large party of 8 and ordered at an earlier dinner time and it did take awhile to get our food(not absurdly long). The food was mostly good and a few things were great! Highly recommend the cheese steak burrito and the shrimp burger burrito. Wish they’d had a margarita or a cold beer but overall we enjoyed the food, got our large order correct which is always appreciated, and we enjoyed the funky flavors.
