A huge thank you to Andres (our server) and Antonio (server assistant) for taking such great care of us. The food was just as incredible as the service. The tartare was refreshing, and the bread with the honey topping is a must-order. For the main, we shared the dry-aged cowboy ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and was the perfect size for two people. We paired it with the lobster mac and cheese, which was awesome and had a generous portion of lobster.
To top it all off, the manager, Christian, went out of his way to send us a complimentary dessert, which made our special day even better. Thank you to the entire team—I will definitely be back soon.
The food was very good. We ordered multiple plates. I ordered the short rib & I’ve never had meat that tender anywhere else. The lamb chops had good flavor and could have been a bit more tender. The two other dishes ordered where the filet mignon samplers. While they were very tender, delicious, and it was a good opportunity to have different types of steak, the filets were thin and therefore easily overcooked. The drinks were strong and tasty. The service at the table was very attentive but we did feel rushed. More than once, we were asked to remove plates that still had food on them. We paid over $1k with tip for a party of 4 so the feeling of being rushed out was a bit disconcerting.
It is a lovely restaurant with a moody atmosphere with music playing at a medium level. We did feel a bit crowded and maybe that was because we were placed by the kitchen where many of the staff congregated & was high traffic. We got bumped in our chairs multiple times.
Parking is a bit challenging in that area but valet was affordable at $14. You could also try to find street parking and pay.
We had an unfortunate moment with the maitre d. We did initially reserve a table for six but on the way to the restaurant were told by two of the party that they wouldn’t be able to make it because they just found out they had covid. We didn’t call right then, which is probably our bad, but we were on the way to the restaurant. When we got there, we informed them that we only needed a table for four and the maitre d proceeded to give us a lecture regarding how the flow of the restaurant is a complicated process and that a reduced party made it more difficult.
The service was equally impressive. Our server, Jose, took incredible care of us—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. What made the experience even more special was reconnecting due to our shared past and hometown roots in Chicago, which added a personal and welcoming touch to the evening. His recommendations were spot-on, and he ensured everything flowed seamlessly from start to finish.
A special thank you as well to Victoria, the floor manager, who ensured the entire dining room ran flawlessly. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and gracious presence truly elevated the experience and made us feel genuinely valued.
Known to be a steakhouse, their hamachi and yellow fin tuna tartare were extremely fresh and delicious. Along with the hanger steak and t bone of the day, everything melted in your mouth and left your taste bud asking for more.
Can’t say enough about the service too, if a Michelin hasn’t been awarded, shame on Michelin for not recognizing how well together this restaurant is put together. Lastly, Chris (one of the managers) was the highlight of the night. From making us laugh with jokes, being hyper attentive to our table and bringing us everything we needed before we even knew we needed more. Hands the best service I’ve had in any restaurant.
Let me start by saying the staff is top tier attentive and incredible; everyone from our server Diagna to the GM, John, who is probably best in class and responsible for keeping such a prestigious place impeccable on all levels.
So to the food; the steak specifically. I ordered an Australian wagyu ribeye and the hanger steak for the table and my god…ELITE quality and execution. The execution is the real kicker, because I like my steaks black and blue -basically charred outside and rare inside– and Daniel’s cooks delivered a flawless steak on what is a difficult cooking style. The hanger was buttery and the ribeye (cooked med rare) was insanely good. Even ordered a decadent Dover sole filet that was delicious.
Dropped a few photos here of some standouts, including the Summer in Madrid drink (refreshing), the enormous tiger shrimp, the absurdly soft and delicate Florida blue crab cake and the chocolate cake that is perfect for people with a superhuman sweet tooth. All incredible.
To sum things up; as much as I’m a guy who hates paying a lot of money for restaurant experiences, since I myself cook very well at home, Daniel’s is worth treating yourself to if you can afford it. And trust me when I say…that statement coming from me talking about a $150+/person restaurant is a crazy compliment that I’ve never given to any restaurant in Miami.
Best steakhouse in Miami by a mile.
