Stopped by D’Angelos in Waltham and it was a great experience. I was greeted and serviced directly by the Manager. What made the experience as the care and thoughtfulness of his team to present the food on the trays. And following up shortly after in the quality. Their team were genuine and caring. Great job! They do a really good job with their food but if you use their app, which works well, they use clueless or disingenuous Doordash drivers for delivery. I live in an apartment building. One order was left in the lobby and another in the elevator vestibule. I recommend only using their app for picking up the food yourself.

While i like the ambiance of the store, i left with mixed feelings about the sandwich. I rated it a four on their website but now when i think about it, it’s alright. For a student on a budget, the sandwich looked like it needed some CPR to put some life back into it. If sad life was a sandwich, it would look like the steak sandwich at D’Angelo. Plain, vanilla just about right..no passion, no intention.
On a less comical note, there are things to like about the sandwich. The bread is fresh, the meat is tender and the cheese is melty. It won’t knock your socks off. It’s like that commercial ad that comes with each game. You couldn’t care less what they peddling but the recall ain’t great. It won’t keep you up at night craving the likes.

good lobster roll although i wish it wasn’t mixed with mayonnaise. the pulled pork sandwich was very good. the double peppercorn steak sandwich was also very good although i got it without mushrooms.
