This place surprised us. Passing through town we looked on Maps for highly rated restaurants and Dandy Don’s was one of the top rated locales. Tired of franchise fast food, we took a chance and I am glad we did.
The burgers and fries are good, the service was friendly and our drinks were refilled for free. The bathroom was tight, but cleaner than a gas station’s facilities.
Friendly would be a good summary of our visit. My not-quite-2 year old son was flirting with the cashier and she was friendly and engaging with him. Other patrons came and held conversations with each other, the staff and us, which combined with the sports teams decor made Dandy Don’s a memorable stop for good food and southern hospitality.

Seriously this place is a dive. We were a little skeptical about eating here but people were in and out picking up orders the whole time we were there. We ordered burgers and chicken fingers and they were great. It’s also a little hard to find. When you see Husqvarna and Stihl signs…just turn into the parking lot to the right side of that building and it will be in the back.

Dandy Don’s has been around for a long time now. I was eating there back in late 80’s the burger was excellent then and excellent now in 2020. Don’t let the appearance fool you. If you are in Livingston Al you have to eat there.

Good place to eat,but I went to call in a order one night before they closed. It says they close at 11 it was about 8:20 I called five times. Two of the five then it just rung. The other two the phone was taken off the hook. The last time I called which was at 9:00 an employee picked up the phone and said they were closed.. if you’re open til 11 why are you closed at 9:00.

Simple food with big flavor! Friendly staff and always a short wait. You can always order ahead and pick up your order though. Best burger in town!

If I could take away all there stars and give this bizz a 0 I would !!! The food is excellent but the Racism hasn’t went anywhere the owner is very racist but yet got our sisters in the back cooking his food!! I will never ever take my bizz back there and while I’m down here I tell as many people as I can to never go there to eat anything!!!! Especially if your BLACK!!! He hates our guts but love our money!!!! F### em!!!!!
