Delicious food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. I came here with a group of friends and everyone loved what they ordered. I got the pumpkin curry with tofu and it was absolutely amazing (I highly recommend trying this dish).

Since moving to Pittsburgh three years ago, Dancing Crab has always been my go to for a good meal. Their food has turned my mood around countless times after a long day of work; plus their portion sizes are great, so I’m often set for lunch the next day too! Food that feels like home, with a lot of customization options for each dish. I’m vegetarian, and am always delighted at how their meatless dishes are still flavorful, and with lots of different types of vegetables.

The team working at Dancing Crab Southside is always extremely kind, and service is very fast. I am a carry-out only type of person, but Dancing Crab always tempts me to dine in. The space is really cozy and beautifully decorated/ taken care of.

Don’t just order takeout, dine in at the Dancing Crab!

The street view might fool you into thinking this is just some ho-hum mediocre spot – but it’s actually fantastic.

The food: WAY better than Nikki’s Thai for example and the prices are often better too. Chef’s specials are carefully prepared and unique, while the regular price menu is also high quality and reliability delicious. Best crab rangoon I’ve had in Pittsburgh for example, but you should go off the beaten path and try something new too. Tom Kha soup is an explosion of flavor, and I don’t even like soup that much. The kitchen staff really knows their craft.

The Service: everyone is so friendly and accommodating (especially Arm:Aoisak). They’ll bend over backwards for you, adding little flourishes and taking good care.

The Atmosphere: peak in the window and you’ll see that it’s a cozy spot with little touches of class and flair, especially in the back room. Grab a seat, a glass of wine, and try a dish you’ve never tried. You won’t regret it! There’s never a wait to get in when I go, half the time it’s near empty, and I still can’t fathom why.

This is one of the best Thai meals I’ve had in the city. I got the yellow chicken curry spice level 2 (I’m a baby) and had some steamed dumplings for an appetizer. Both were full of flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, and brought our meals not long after we ordered them.my partner got the Katsu and pineapple fried rice, which were both very good. Will be going back!

Fantastic Thai food, beautiful indoor area. The service is great, the man who always works there is so kind and friendly even when the restaurant is full and he’s running around. This is place is such a good dinner spot or date night. Big fan of the pad Thai, Thai tea, and the massuman curry. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t yet!

I didn’t get any crab at Dancing Crab Thai Noodle House but that didn’t prevent me from enjoying every bit of the food here.

I’ve had dancing crab plenty of times on Uber Eats and got the same thing every time. Spicy Basil Fried Rice + egg rolls. I decided to dine in today, staying to my roots. I’ve tried many spicy Basil fried rice dishes across Pittsburgh and I’ll say that dancing crab arguably has the most flavorful as of today. It was especially tasty today (fresh out the kitchen, no delivery lag) and the portions were great.

The pad Thai was good but there is arguably better in the city. It’s tasty but just a tad bit too liquidly for my liking.

What is really making me give this place 5 stars is the thai style fried rice. After having it at other Thai places and seeing how bland it can be, I was surprised after trying my friend’s Thai fried rice with beef how much flavor it had. It was distinctively different from my spicy Basil, but had a unique flavor profile that’s worth revisiting.

I’m glad I was able to dine in today. My true rating is about a 4.4-4.5/5 but will give the 5 stars all things considered.

I ordered the seafood Koa Soy. I told my server that I love spice, and he gave me some chili on the side to add as much as I liked. I ended up putting all of what he gave me into it, and I cannot stress enough how much it added to an already-excellent dish. Good spicy food is flavorful, and is not overpowered by the heat — that’s exactly what Dancing Crab accomplishes with their menu. I recommend their Koa Soy to anyone.

After the meal, I enjoyed a refreshing Thai iced tea. Also good, wonderful to have after a savory meal.

All in all, I look forward to exploring the rest of what they have to offer. I came at a very quiet hour, so the place was rather empty. I’m sure it has more activity later on, which you may or may not prefer. I like being around people when I am out, so I may try to stop by when the sun goes down instead of in the early evening.

This Thai restaurant is one of the best I have had in a long time. We had the beef salad, tum yum seafood noodles, and koa soy noodles, and all were delicious. Our server was amiable and prompt with the service.

Edit: Previously, my rating was a 4 star. I’m raising that up to a 5. Dancing Crab has continued to impress with great food, and they’ve been adding some improved decoration in the main dining room. Me and my whole family love getting Thai here!

The Thai iced coffee was so good, I want it everyday. I don’t care if I get diabetes.

The red curry noodle soup I had was all around solid and had great flavor. It’s a large portion which is always a plus. I got it with squid which was much more chewy than expected, but was fine.

I got a level 7 or 8 for the spice level. I’m glad my pride didn’t make me get a 10, I would have struggled. If you like spice, start with a 7, you can add more chili later. The heat is real, y’all.
