Don’t let the videos fool you. The bar is extremely chill and a good place to hang. The upstairs venue is a totally different vibe so don’t let that turn you off if that music isn’t your thing. The beer, service, and food is excellent.
Price per person: …
The food? Fantastic! Scotch eggs—perfect. Meat twinkies—unique and delicious. Fried pickles—crispy with a great batter.
The drinks? We had a flight, and the smoked porter and Ukrainian coffee stood out—both amazing!
The vibe? Relaxed, welcoming, and friendly service that made us feel right at home.
If you’re in the area, don’t miss this spot!
Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!
the staff and Beer was awesome.
Still the best food and service around. Emily is Top Shelf!
Really love the food here!
Loving the new featured cocktails! They are inventive and delicious!
Tenderloin was just ok. It was thick but the breading overpowered the meat. Not a whole lot of flavor. Thought it came with lettuce and tomatoes, which it needed. Just came with onion and pickle. Fries were fine. Handcut style. Beer was good. Enjoyed the Willow on special. Id say burgers are the thing to order based on what I saw others getting.
Main purpose was to see Greet Death. The venue upstairs is pretty small so when bands are moving equipment on/off stage it can be hard to k own where to stand. Sound guy did a great job bringing everything together. Nice sounding venue.
Scotch Eggs: excellent – try the horseradish sauce.
Fried Pickles: wonderful
Boneless chicken wings: pretty good, but not off the charts
Flight of four brews:
Two very good (Belgian blonde & schwarzbier)
One ok (American IPA – was hoping for punchier aromatics)
One not so good (fruited ale – peach) – imo, fruit beers should taste like a style of beer that is enhanced with fruit, not the other way around. This was like incompletely fermented peach puree. Also, the big, soapy / greasy looking bubbles up top were not a good look.
