Recently visited my brother in the Old Forge/Taylor area and we were looking to order pizza, but try somewhere we hadn’t had before. Decided on D’AMORE…and it was a fantastic decision! Perfect crust, perfect sauce, not overly seasoned…we were both blown away by how good it was.

I can’t wait to share my delightful experience at D’Amore’s Pizza in Taylor! As soon as I stepped inside, the bustling atmosphere welcomed me, and the mouthwatering aroma of pizza and sauce filled the air—definitely a promising sign! This isn’t just your typical “Old Forge Style Pizza” joint; D’Amore’s takes it to a whole new level.
The menu is a treasure trove of options: Wings, Hoagies, Salads, Pizzas, Strombolis, Burgers, Wraps, Calzones, and even White Birch Beer soda! When I mentioned to the friendly staff that it was my first visit and that I’m a bit of a pizza snob after growing up in New York, they were incredibly accommodating. They took the time to explain the menu and even offered to let me take one home—now that’s service!
I couldn’t resist trying a spicy sausage slice topped with their signature sweet sauce, alongside a classic pepperoni slice with the same delectable sauce. The blend of sweet and spicy was absolutely fantastic, tantalizing my taste buds and reminding me of the New York-style pizza I’ve been missing since moving to PA.
Another charming aspect of D’Amore’s was the group of respectful kids on bikes who rolled into the parking lot, also eager for pizza. It’s a great sign of a friendly neighborhood spot, especially considering the array of pizza places in the nearby Taylor, Old Forge, and Scranton area. When I asked the kids, they declared D’Amore’s their favorite, which speaks volumes!
Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the delivery guy, who was hilariously balancing a mountain of pizza boxes, hoagies, and wings as he dashed to his car. He was clearly busy, but that just added to the lively vibe of the place.
I’ll definitely be returning when I crave some cheesy goodness and a delicious slice! If you’re in the area or just passing through, make sure to check out D’Amore’s. And don’t forget to ask for a splash of that sweet pizza sauce on your pizza, calzones, or whatever you order—I promise it will steal the show!

Decided to check out the local area due to me moving from Scranton. Grabbed a few slices, 1 Pepperoni and a Sicilian. Asked the gentleman behind the counter if I could take a menu home, since I am new to the area. I mentioned about the “Gluten Free” option.” He firmly replied “yes, we take the utmost care.” My reply was “That’s wonderful news, my wife has “Celiac.”. We ordered a XL 1/2 Pepperoni, 1/2 Hawaiian, w/Wings and Garlic Knots. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. We ordered the Personal 4 cheese GF for the wife. She absolutely devoured it, and told me, “If I get sick, it was totally worth it.” I’ve NEVER seen someone enjoy a pizza like she did that day. She didn’t get sick, and I’m beyond grateful, and thankful for the utmost care that was taken with her order. We will definitely be ordering from here regularly, as we enjoy a really good pizza on the weekends. The menu is clear to understand, and reassuring of the product being sold. Definitely can’t wait to try EVERYTHING on the menu. Thank you.”

We ordered pizza at 3pm to be delivered by 5:30 pm. So my granddaughter could eat before her school dance. The pizza did not come until 6:30. It was cold and the bottom of the pizza was burned. My granddaughter did not even get to eat before she left for her dance. Terrible service and I was not told that the restaurant had delivery problems. Had I known. I would have gladly picked up my pizza. No communication. No phone call to let us know it was going to be later. Very upset overall we even prepaid with a very large tip. Shameful service. ~. I picked up 2 mystery boxes for a friend tonight thru the TooGoodToGo app and I will definitely be doing it again. The pizza and knots are fantastic but the price is unbelievable. It’s my first time hearing about this app and I think its awesome D’Amores participates with it.

Outstanding pizza. The thin NY style is delicious, as is the thicker pan style. The toppings (peppers, onions) are fresh and crisp, and the cook was perfect. Had a variety box of slices.

Best pizza in the area we got the sweet sauce with pepperoni and some good buffalo wings . Pizza is always good takes me back to NYC with the flavor and crust . The wings are crispy and saucy (also not cheap with the sauce ). Also that peach JOE TEA went well with this meal . 10/10 definitely recommend!

I wanted something quick and easy and stopped at this pizzeria. I parked in their lot and walked in. I was greeted, and I ordered a slice with extra cheese and a chicken slice. The slices came out quickly! When I dug in, the pizza was good! I preferred the extra cheese slice all in all.

Found this place through Google and I’m not Disappointed the XL Margarita I really like the sauce they use it’s sooo good I totally recommend this Pizza I Also I have tried the chicken chipotle pizza and it’s Really good too Great service this place it’s easy to find I will be back to try more of the pizza’s I have one request please post a photo of the pizza with the name ☺️
