First, the food is very expensive. $20 for a beef shawarma plate, add $3 for a can of coke, a couple extra pita, extra sauce, tax, you are paying $30 for a shawarma plate. My friends shawarma wrap cost him over $20 dollars.
Second, the service was bad. Objectively bad. My friends and I came in and ordered separately, by the time I got my food, my friend was already done with his dinner. If you want all your food at the same time, you have to put all the food on one order, and I’m not even sure this staff would be able to pull that off. 2 of our orders were completely wrong out of 5 total. The cashier had no idea what he was doing, and the chef didn’t seem to care.
Third. I saved the worst for last: The food. The food was horrible. My beef shawarma was so salty that I couldn’t even finish half of it(and I’m a big guy who was very hungry at the time). I think that was the first time I ever I had to stop eating food because it was bad. My buddy got a shawarma plate to-go for his girlfriend and I legitimately feel bad for her. My buddies said that this was just an off night for them, but I’ll never know because I will never be back.
Good luck to this restaurant! I love Mediterranean food, so I am actually rooting for this place, but if my experience is the norm I am not hopeful.
We had Shish Taouk Kebab (chicken) and Kefta Kebab. (Beef) very flavorful; completely different spices than we’re used to in the USA.
The portions are generous, the tea is *piping* hot — I wish I had thought to order a whole pot of it! — and the Turkish delight is a new favorite in our family.
10/10, will definitely be back!
As of today- over salted, overpriced shawarma wrap, with some kind of vinegar dressing? So where is this coming from? Did you all come up with a new recipe… well it didn’t turn out well. Not coming back unfortunately. You can learn more if you come to Texas and visit local shawarma place
Just know you’re going to run out and you’re going to be disappointed at the middle of the meal.
Again, very good food, but going cheap on something as trivia as the pita is a weird route to go.
