What a nice stop over for dinner. We were traveling through the area. It was getting late, and a quick Google search told us about The Dam Restaurant. It was 8:00 p.m. and they were closing in an hour. Normally, we don’t like to get to a restaurant that is close to closing.
When we arrived, they were just finishing up with a large group. As soon as we ordered, another large group came in. The staff treated us like they had all night to serve us. We were not hurried.
The service and the food were great. We both had the Casear Salad. I chose chicken as my topping, and my wife chose Walleye. It was all delicious.
The bar looked like a great place to hang for the evening, but we needed to get on down the road.

In-laws have always spoken very highly o this local joint. Truly, I wasn’t expecting much. It far exceeded my expectations. It’s much more modernized n trendy. Deco is super cool. Everything was clean and well maintained. Waitress was efficient and friendly. I got the walleye special. SO got black n bleu burger. Food came out steamy n looked delicious. Don’t think I’ve ever had walleye. This was a good-sized plank o lovely white flaky fish. The batter was crispy and it wasn’t greasy at all. The burger was well seasoned. Fries were yummy. Def recommend.

Great spot to swing by in orr for a great meal or just a beverage! The staff is always very welcoming and willing to make sure your experience is great! As an added bonus they always have great events/parties they will put on over the course of the year!

A great meal to end a long day at Voyageurs. Restaurant has an extremely cozy and homey feel, and the staff are super friendly. The fried walleye and chicken dumpling soup were tasty!

The food was solid but it took quite a while for my friend to get his food (a burger) and then it took way longer than it should (probably another 10-15 minutes) to get my simple pasta meal, which shouldn’t even take that long to make to begin with. Otherwise, the service was decent with no complaints about the food, although it also wasn’t anything special.

We dropped in for lunch today and the food was PHENOMENAL. The homemade smoked Gouda potato soup was delicious for starter and can’t say enough good things about walleye strip basket and chicken basket. Looking forward to our next visit.

The fried and Cajun walleye are delicious. Kids approved of the spaghetti too (8 & 11). Perfect pour on the beer. The bar was quiet, but it was a Wednesday at 5:30. Service was fast and friendly. Will be back next year when we return to northern MN.

We stopped in because of the glowing reviews and we are glad we did.
Service was amazing. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel at home.
Entres include a soup and salad bar, which is a nice change of pace.
Atmosphere is lovely and inviting.
The bathroom is clean and well kept but keep in mind that it is a one person unit, with 2 available (Men’s and Women’s).
The food was amazing. I recommend the hand-cut fries as a side to any burger or sandwich.
Worth the stop!

Excellent service and the food was great. Looking for a burger? Get the Dam burger. So good no ketchup was needed.
My wife had the walleye sandwich and loved it.
