If you’re looking for a quick bite near downtown Huntsville, you have to try this hidden gem. Located just north of downtown, Dallas Mill Deli attracts people from all walks of life. My favorite is the club sandwich, but I don’t know anyone that hasn’t enjoyed their meal here.

If you love homemade goodness, you’ll go here. Beautiful location with a lot of history. Very quaint and relaxing shop much like you’d expect in France. With a huge variety of sandwiches and a desert, you have to try. I’ll start with the strawberry pretzel pie. What is that, you ask? Well, you’ll have to go find out. You’ll love it! I also had a club. The meat is so fresh and crispy vegetables it’s like they came from a local farmers market. Maybe they did, I don’t know. But even the sandwiches were fantastic. The staff are like your friends with a big warm greeting. Very helpful in deciding what to order when there are so many wonderful choices.
The location is nice enough for a quiet first date, a family dinner, a business lunch… etc. It has that nice calming feel just being there. Like the craziness of the world just went on hold. Cool spot. I like it. Wonderful ladies just add to it’s wonderfullness. Yup, I made that word up for a place like no other.

My first time coming here and I am leaving very happy! I had the bologna Reuben, very innovative and delicious. Had chips and tea and finished off with banana pudding (one of my personal favorites). Really good food with excellent service in a clean environment. Will come back here again!

Grabbed a few things to-go today to try out the food. I had a chicken salad sandwich, potato salad, pasta salad, and snagged a strawberry pretzel salad for later. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, like something you would get from your grandmother‘s kitchen… Or a great church potluck. The chicken salad was very well seasoned, probably some of the best I’ve had from a restaurant. The potato salad was also very flavorful, it almost taste like it has some bacon in it? The only thing that was a little lackluster was the pasta salad, I say skip it unless you’re just really wanting pasta salad. The strawberry pretzel salad was fantastic, I’ve always heard great things and I definitely think it lives up to the hype!

I usually get the bacon cheeseburger which is great. Today I asked the young lady at the counter what she’d recommend. She suggested the reuben bologna sandwich with extra sauerkraut. It was awesome!

Review: This is located right off 565 next to the Habitat Store and is a nice, quaint little place. The inside is very “deli” and the staff inside was very nice and answered all our questions. The food was delicious but was averaged/higher price. I can understand this though as its a small run business and the food is fresh. I had the BLT on a Pretzel bun and it was very tasty. They do have drink control with Fresh Iced tea which is a big plus in my book (as most people most likely).
Asks: I did want to try the Strawberry Pretzel dessert but thought it was a little pricey for the size that you get. It was one small square located in a larger plastic. I feel that the price point for this should have been around $2.00 for what you get. Loved this place though!

4.5 stars. Decent no-frills experience, food was good but nothing standout. There was a lot of different options. Good service. Prices were okay, just under $40 for all pictured (with the 2 desserts and drink in background). Serving sizes were a little small but not bad. Overall would go back. Healthier lunch option.

I love this deli for its history and small town atmosphere in the heart of the Dallas Mill district. The deli food is a nice change from the drive through fast food. I had the soup and sandwich special and the strawberry pretzel salad. I’m disappointed that they are using the plastic containers so much for dining in customers. I had the sourdough bread but it seemed like regular white bread. There is indoor and outdoor seating I have been here many times and would record it if you have never been!
