This is a great all American diner. The service is friendly, the food comes out fast, the meal is satisfying and it is really all you need. We stopped whole road tripping and got a basic hot beef sandwich, but it hit the spot. Soup was fabulous and has all the North Dakota staple foods on the menu. The servers are amazing and so kind. Good prices. Good service.

Good Home Cooking with Friendly Service. I had the Ruben Sandwich with cheddar covered tater tots plus salad and fresh pumpkin pie. Everything fresh along with sweet tea. Located next to the Tiger Truckstop just north of the interstate, worth stopping.

Dakota Diner is a true gem in Dickinson! I stopped in for breakfast and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious — exactly the kind of hearty, homemade breakfast you hope for when traveling. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel right at home. On top of that, the diner is spotless and comfortable, which really adds to the relaxed atmosphere.

Dakota Diner was a fabulous stop on our drive west through Dickinson. We stopped for a mid- morning breakfast before heading to the local museum. We had the Diner Delight and the Chicken Fried Steak with eggs. Both meals were cooked to perfection. Beware…the pancakes are huge! Literally, the size of a plate. Either bring an appetite or be prepared to take some of your meal home.

The worst food I have ever tasted in my life. First time I feel like I wasted money in a restaurant. I asked for the meat half cooked and they gave it very cooked, with an old taste, the potatoes tasted like very old oil. AWFUL. I never do reviews but this one deserved it
