Went in & got so much food for 50$ ! Omg the empanadas are so yummy, the tres leches is so moist & fresh, the churro cheesecake is very flavorful.. it’s more of a cross between a churro & a cheesecake.. baked cream cheese & guava pastry was *chefs kiss* .. nutella brownie was very rich, the nutella was a perfect touch, & i haven’t gotten to the slice of coconut cake they but i’m sure it’s just as good as everything else .. if you haven’t gone there .. you better get there !!

I used the too good to go app. ( usually get great things from other places. But the stuff I got here was Dried, hard and old. I had high hopes for this place. But the stuff I received was just not edible completely hard. A waste of money. And I’m sorry I don’t have a lot of money so when I didn’t get together a few dollars for a special treat, I would hope it was not rock solid hard.

This Mexican bakery is such a gem! They have so many pastries that I grew up with — especially the ones with the sweet frosting on top (the classic conchas!). It really reminded me of when I used to go to Mexico during the summers. My sister’s grandparents are half Mexican, so I grew up enjoying these kinds of pastries, and finding a place that has them all is amazing. Their tres leches cake is honestly the best I’ve ever had. The lady working there was super sweet and welcoming. It’s a cute little spot to stop by for a treat or to take some pastries home. I’ll definitely be coming back! I would’ve posted a picture but once I got in the car, I ate everything lol

A small pastry shop in downtown Albany with some character and a must stop for people with a sweet tooth.

I first got to know about this through a yelp event. I would definitely stop by to get the chocolate flan and the tres leches.

Service was quick. The front end staff and owner were friendly.

I recently visited this charming little pastry shop run by a young Mexican owner I saw on the news. Upon entering, I noticed it was just me, the young owner, and an older woman—perhaps her mother, aunt, or an employee.

During my visit, I saw someone pick up one of the large, beautifully crafted bread wreaths. Curious, I asked about it, and while I was told it was bread and not cake, there wasn’t much explanation about its significance or connection to any tradition. I felt this was a missed opportunity to share a meaningful cultural story, especially since it seemed tied to a Christian holiday.

I ordered a Mexican coffee, which was delightful. The blend of brown sugar, cinnamon, star anise, and other spices was rich and comforting. I also tried an empanada since most of the bakery case was reserved for pre-orders or stocked with items like tres leches cakes, which aren’t my preference.

The empanada itself was tasty, but when I asked for it to be heated, it seemed microwaved, leaving the crust a bit soft instead of crisp. It was also cold in the middle.

While the flavors were enjoyable, I couldn’t shake the feeling of being slightly unwelcome. Aside from a greeting when I entered, there wasn’t much interaction or warmth throughout my visit. In a small local shop, especially one with such rich cultural offerings, I had hoped for a bit more hospitality and engagement.

Overall, the food and coffee were good, but a warmer, more inviting atmosphere would have made the experience exceptional.

I went for the first time yesterday. The decorations are so pretty and the second you walk in it smells delicious. The owner is very sweet and friendly. I got fresh concha’s and tres leches. Both were absolutely delicious, I will definitely be back and look forward to seeing this young talented business owner grow her business!

I just moved to Albany, and this was the first place I tried. I can’t even begin to describe how good everything is. Daisy is incredibly kind and always knows exactly what to recommend. From the conchas to the café de olla to the alfajores—everything is unreal.
I became a regular almost immediately!

I’ve been coming here for a few years and usually their desserts are fresh. There have been two instances where they gave us old/ hard food. Last night I ordered three desserts on DoorDash and all three of them were not good. The desserts were old and hard, they were not edible. The strawberry on the cheesecake was also rotting. Deeply disappointed as we called and they didn’t do anything about the situation. They told us to get a refund through DoorDash and DoorDash gave us credit.

Some of the best pastry I’ve ever had- the conchas are phenomenal. Breakfast is also incredible- the breakfast burrito with hot sauce is perfect.
