They made my little niece’s birthday cake absolutely amazing amazing!!!!!!!!! The theme was mermaid. Gave them a reference photo and went over and beyond my expectations. Also I was so thankful that she could put all the words on top of the cake. Where i’m from, a lot of dairy queens can’t put that much lettering on the top.

My dog freaking loves whipped cream aka pup cups when we go to Andy’s frozen custard or Culver’s, she gobbles the cup up but today we went to DQ and she smelled it and refused to eat it. I let the cup sit for a few hours in the car and the whipped cream did not melt. Something is wrong with DQ whipped cream?

A+ on our ice cream cake!
I ordered an ice cream cake online at this location because the closest DQ to us closes all winter. Online ordering was super easy, and I knew what I was getting at what price and when to pick it up.
When I got there, the lobby was closed due to covid so we had a bit of an awkward “pass it through the narrow drive through window” moment, but it all worked out. The employee was really pleasant and engaged, a marked difference from the drive-through employee at another business I’d just been at.
The best part? The cake was decorated with much more care and effort than we ever hoped for. I had indicated on the order that it was for an eighth birthday and that I’d stick a Pokemon candle on it, so if the frosting color vaguely worked with a yellow pikachu, that would be great.
They did up the cake as a pokeball! My son was thrilled! It really meant a lot during a no-friends-due-to-covid birthday. And it was delicious! It was sort of a white ice cream outside layer filled with ice cream mixes with Oreos and with an Oreo cookie layer. Delish!

Ordered a chocolate brownie extreme blizzard which is made with vanilla ice cream and cocoa fudge. When asked why they made it with chocolate ice cream they stated that they only make it with vanilla ice cream if the customer asks. THE BLIZZARD IS MADE AND ADVERTISED WITH VANILLA ICECREAM. Why would I have to ask for it. Don’t waste your money at this location.

While the ice cream is excellent the business practice is poor. My child was asked if she wanted whipped cream on a shake which is shown in ads with whipped cream. I was surprised to be charged a dollar extra. It is shown on a hand written sign off to the side and just said “extra” not an amount. First, if it is extra, don’t offer it. Let people ask for it. Second, $1 seems high for what is maybe 2 tablespoons of whipped cream. The shakes already cost enough. If they are shown in the ads with whipped cream just put it on or take it out of the ads. (If it had been 25 cents, I probably wouldn’t care but this is kind of sketchy)

I went there to get a Strawberry milkshake. There was a young girl there who seemed like she did not know what she was doing. A had a coupon for $3 dollars for the milkshake She said my bill was $4.50. I asked her why the $50 difference. She said you would like Whipped cream and that’s what cream costs, a dollar fifty more.
I told her that She did not tell me that whipped cream was extra. She had To call her boss because she didn’t know
How to process the coupon. I Waited in line for at least twenty five minutes.. I felt a little bad for her because she had to call her boss on the phone and she was there by herself. A new employee.

I came here tonight with my 5 year old and she wanted a small cone dipped in cherry. We paid in all change because times are extra hard right now as a single mom, it was the last few dollars to my name. Anyways the lady handed my daughter the cone wrapped in a napkin and it slipped out of her hands and ended up on floor. I asked the cashier for a new one and she said “NO” very wrong definitely won’t be coming back to this location. Don’t hand the kids the cone with a napkin around it, give the napkin separate! Or hand the whole thing to the parents

Literally just walked out of this location. I usually stop in here whenever I visit another business in the plaza. I usually get a single small cone. I agree with the other reviews I read that you have to be very careful about what you order and how much it costs . Usually it cost about 1.92 with tax which is a rip off but every time I go in the prices always vary. This time I walked in and asked for a small single serving of vanilla ice cream and had to reword what I asked for as if I didn’t speak proper English. The cashier looks confused while she is ringing me up and comes up with a total of 2.95. How? I look at the menu on the wall and point out that the price is 1.79. She looks baffled again as if I don’t know how to speak English and talks to her co worker only to tell me that oh that price is for kids size. It says that nowhere on the menu for cones . I like how they tried to fabricate that one on site. So in light of the kids cone being 1.79 I ask for the kids cone and again I get a look of disgust as if I am wrong and she says we already made the small one, whose fault is that? So I tell the young lady they can keep the one they already made, especially since the young lady that made it became impatient and just sat it on the counter with no napkins or anything underneath it. Who’s gonna eat that now? Lost my business permanently.

Me and my family recently moved to the Romeoville area and decided to go to the local Dairy Queen.. that was a TERRIBLE decision. I ordered a blizzard and realized I had ordered the wrong one. While my daughter was deciding what she wanted I realized I had ordered the wrong blizzard and told them that. When I told them they told me “well we already made it” in a VERY condescending tone and made me feel as if I’m in the wrong for a simple mistake. To the point where my daughter was uncomfortable and no longer wanted ice cream. They never made the correct blizzard and I left EMPTY HANDED because the other one was made. WORST experience I’ve had and the associates are unbelievably DISRESPECTFUL. AVOID THIS STORE.

Had a taste for a delicious cookie dough blizzard only to have utter disappointment. The small blizzard was simply a cup of vanilla ice cream with no more than 5 small pieces of cookie dough. When I called and inquired to the store as to why there was not even the fudge included, I was informed that this location doesn’t offer that unless specifically requested. How would you expect to know to request an ingredient that is included in the description of the flavor of the blizzard. When the staff that answered then questioned another employee the response was, we can make it however they want, they just need to tell us how they want it. Just want it made according to the standard description and what every other Dairy Queen does, kinda the industry standard. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED!
