I hope they never change this location and the style. It’s a unique design leftover from ages ago. It can get busy but they do a good job of moving through the line. I experienced that first hand. The quality of ice cream is great too can tell they don’t water down their soft serve. Some unique specials I haven’t seen before for the location. I would say this is a cool stop even going by other locations to get to this one. No indoor seating so keep that in mind.

We love a good treat and slaw hot dog on a Sunday afternoon sometimes and DQ in NSB is where it’s at. They are always busy and the atmosphere is always fun, reminds me of the 90s when we would go and eat our cones and sit outside with the family on a hot summer night.

I love this place!
I’ve been going to this iconic vintage Dairy Queen outlet for the last 20 years. It is THE Dairy Queen for the New Smyrna Beach area, and if you’re driving through and need something, sweet or salty, you won’t regret stopping by.
A number of years ago, they purchased the property next-door and created more shaded parking areas, so there’s usually plenty of spaces available. They also added more outdoor seating, all nicely shaded with huge umbrellas.
If you go on a Wednesday, like I did this week, don’t be surprised if there’s a short wait in the line, because on Wednesdays they have their “$1.99 Banana Split Special”, and they are popular! (Insider tip: Ask for the sprinkled nuts as an extra topping.)
They have other specials every day of the week, see the list below.
To top it all off, their servers are smiling, happy, friendly people, who will make you feel like you just stepped back in time to the 1970s, when life was simple and wonderful, and when people interacted with EACH OTHER, instead of with a metal & glass contraption that you had glued to your hand. Aahh yes, this place will take you back. Enjoy your visit!

Dairy Queen is one of those timeless, wonderful spots that keeps you coming back again and again. Every visit is a great experience, thanks in large part to the staff. The service here is consistently excellent, friendly, and fast.
As for the menu, the food is surprisingly high-quality for a quick bite; even a simple hot dog tastes fresh and delicious every time.
Of course, the real highlight is the incredible variety of ice cream treats and Blizzard cups. Whether you want something classic or a new seasonal flavor, they have the perfect frozen treat for any craving. Highly recommended!

Built in 1953 and still owned by the original family. This location looks like it did back then. There is plenty of parking around the building and there are many umbrella covered places to sit and enjoy your food and ice cream. This place is very nostalgic and has won an historical award. There was a line of loyal customers waiting to make their orders but it moved quickly. The food prices are very reasonable but the menu is limited. You can have a delicious hot dog with toppings of you choice or some of the ice cream they offer there. We drove almost an hour to see this location after learning about it and were’nt disappointed. After our hot dogs we enjoyed some dessert. I had my childhood favorite, a Banana Split, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will make sure to stop by again next time we are in the area or when we get a craving.
