Brick Restaurant is a nice place to get a leisurely meal.

We ordered the Wagyu burger (specifics in the photo below) and a pulled pork sandwich.

Both meals were good although I feel like the presentation was a bit lacking somehow.

Service was very friendly (shout out to Lauren!) and our food came out in a reasonable time – we did come in during lunchtime on a Tuesday.

We visited for the second time.
The first time we visited, no one approached us to accommodate us while we were sitting outside, until my husband went inside to ask for a menu and we ended up getting drinks.

On the second visit, it was Christmas, and we had lunch. The service was too slow. And the pork chop was too salty. The beer was served after 10 minutes.

The service we received was notably slow, which impacted our afternoon. Furthermore, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered my burger medium rare and it was medium well at best. We found the preparation and taste to be less than satisfactory. We did enjoy that the restaurant was pretty friendly and we were able to bring our dog.

This was our second visit, and unfortunately after this, we won’t be back.

Our first visit was probably a year ago. I had gotten the ribeye with the truffle butter and the gorgonzola butter on the side. I remember the steak tasting great, the butters elevating that, and the waitress being awesome and attentive.

This round, I did the ribeye again. My partner got the seafood tower and a blueberry margarita, and we split the tuna cracker app. The drink was great! Beware of the tuna cracker app, we saw the wasabi sauces but this seemed really overdone. I don’t shy away from spice but the intensity from that sauce made the back of my brain pucker. My steak was decently seasoned but closer to well than medium rare, and I doubt it was 16oz (not a $50 steak by any means). The butter had almost no flavor. My partner’s dinner though, based on the description she was expecting maybe something close to ceviche.. the description said scallop, shrimp and lobster stacked, with tomato and avocado. What my partner got was a scoop of seafood dip mixed with iceberg lettuce that was wedged between two 1″ thick slices of the most unappetizing looking tomato I’ve ever seen. There were also 2 large fried chip-like things. There was no lobster.. instead it was dime sized scallops, imitation crab, and shrimp in mayonnaise. I expressed that partner wouldn’t eat it and the waiter said he’d come back around, I guess to see if she changed her mind. Four pass bys later, he asked if we wanted boxes. I said I’d like a box for mine and to order the kale salad and salmon to go. They removed the seafood tower except for a $2 open food charge and 30 mins later I got the salad and 3oz of overcooked and under seasoned salmon.
We sat there for almost 2 hours bc of slow service and lack of attention from our waiter. Despite it not being busy (maybe 8 tables with 3-5 waiters).

I’ve eaten at this restaurant countless times with my family and even bring clients here for business lunches, so I was genuinely excited to return this past Sunday. Their French toast is my absolute favorite, and since it’s only available on the weekend brunch menu, I hadn’t been able to come due to traveling.

I ordered my usual — the grilled shrimp and grits — with a side of their amazing French toast. But while eating, I suddenly felt something on my tongue. When I pulled it out of my mouth, it was a long strand of blonde hair.

I informed the server, but she didn’t apologize and only offered to remake the dish or remove it from my ticket. My stomach turned at the thought that I could have swallowed someone’s hair. I asked to speak with a manager. He said he’d take care of the entire ticket, then proceeded to go down a list of cooks — all of whom apparently didn’t have blonde hair — while I sat there wearing my jet-black wig.

At that point, I couldn’t eat another bite. We left shortly afterward feeling disappointed and honestly a little nauseated. As someone who used to frequent this place regularly, this experience was extremely disappointing.

A wonderful space with a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Bartenders and servers who remember your name. Food is always delicious and their drinks do not dissapoint. A seafood tower and a glass of Ghostrunner red blend were the making of a perfect lunch.

Mia is the absolute best! We have had her take care of us several times at the bar and it’s been the hands down best service I’ve ever received especially as a server myself. This place has the most efficient service the best food and top tier drinks with amazing staff to accompany. Jason (the owner I believe) is so down to earth and kind to his customers. If you are in Jax beach this is a top tier must have experience!

I ordered two Caesar salads and one of them with shrimp. The menu was unclear so when I got to the restaurant, I found out that the shrimp alone was $14 for 5 shrimp-in addition to the cost of the Caesar salad. The salads were just basic salads – nothing special. Thankfully the waitress was accommodating and gave a discount bc of the lack of clarity in the menu: To me the shrimp is a rip off.
