Used to come here regularly for years. About a year and half ago I stop coming here bc they short change you on the blizzards. Every so often just due to convenience I go in to see if things have changed and most of the time it hasn’t. Stopped in again recently and of course the cup is 2/3 fill. I will continue to patronize another DQ store.

Long time Diary Queen customers first time trying out this New Milford location. Our first experience could have been better. Long line with only one person helping. At 8:00 pm on a nice warm day we had to wait 40 minutes to get served. The other person that was working was already closing up an hour and a half before closing time. When we finally got served some items were out. We just got two hot fudge sundae’s. Topping wasn’t hot, must have pull the plug earlier and the ice cream consistently wasn’t the DQ norm. It wasn’t airy more custard like. We’ll give it a try again after we go to one of our regulars. Line still to the door and hour later.

Too bad that the ice cream is very good, because the service is horrendous. The young girls that work in there are sarcastic, rude, they overcharge, and they skimp on the servings. One girl in particular is always talking to her friends while a line builds up. Tonight, I got stuck with her again. I ordered two kiddie sized cups. She charged me $7 for probably 4 tablespoons worth of ice cream. When I mentioned it, she looked at me like I was insane. Eventually, another girl remade them with the correct serving. Hire some real workers instead of these little entitled girls.

Although the line was out the door and the wait was longer than I’d prefer, the two young ladies behind the counter were fantastic, friendly, helpful, and patient, especially with the younger kids who couldn’t decide what they wanted. Great customer service under pressure!

Any of the items on the menu are always a must-have. This was the 1st time I’ve been to this location & the young lady who served us had one expression… it seemed she disliked her job & had an unwelcoming vibe to her. I almost walked out. ALMOST… lol.

On 4/13/2024 I took my family here at 9:40 at night the place was busy so I understand the girls behind the counter were stressed but when I ordered a misty freeze for my son the girl behind the counter gave me a misty slush. I politely told her it was the incorrect order and she told me to my face that it was the right order and refused to make another one because it was “to busy” and then proceeded to make me pay for it. As for my wife and daughter she didn’t mix there blizzards at all so it was just some ice cream with some syrup drizzled on top. When we got home we all threw out our orders. Not one of us was satisfied.

We always enjoy going late at night. It can get pretty crowded and although the young ladies at the register are as young as they are, they are always helpful and super fast. Great staff to say the least! I love the SM Pineapple Coconut Blizzard and my daughter always gets the Strawberry Sunday with chocolate ice cream. At first, I didnt realize the blizzard could be small and wouldn’t eat the entire thing, now that I realized I can order it SM I enjoy it even more.
