We were a party of two. It is Sunday, Easter, 12:38 pm and there was nobody in the restaurant. The drive thru was busy but the restaurant itself was not. I haven’t been to DQ in years I was sticker shocked with the prices. See photos attached. The price of a medium sundae is $4.69 and the price of a medium Blizzard was $6.79. Wow! My friend was assisting me with ordering because I am disabled from a stroke. I should’ve went with the 4 for $7 deal advertised on the window. Wow is all i can say. When all was said and done it costed over $40 for just two people. I could’ve went next door to Black Bear Diner for those prices. The food was so-so. Nothing monumental. The dipping BBQ sauce was a half inch from full. The employees were nice and friendly, no problems there but the prices for what we got was not a good value. Plus the fries weren’t even hot. It was likkevthey were sitting the warming lamp, they were not fresh from the fryer. I am used to the Dairy Queen in Folsom, California, they always cook orders fresh and hot. I was passing through here, Idaho Falls heading back to California and there was a definite difference in quality at this Dairy Queen.

Extremely long wait time for basic meal in the drive through, paid for a double and got a single. Bun was stale and burger tasted horrible, not impressed at all.

Absolutely disgusting I used to love this place but now that I just spent $20 on a chili hot dog combo order…! And I get my food with completely rock hard stale bun it looks like absolute garbage I can hardly bite into it I have to use the side of my mouth not to mention I’ve called 13 times and no anwser?!?! Seriously like the LEAST YOU COULD DO IS REMAKE THE FOOD!

New edit: I gave these guys a second chance. Not because I’m forgiving, but because I was hungry. You know, I waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes solid, only to go in and find out they never started my meal and were in there hanging out on their phones and tinkering around like their paycheck isn’t enough. They finally got onto my order and I went away mad, and hungrier. I will never give them a second chance; in a forgiving state or not.

Okay, so the ice cream situation was definitely a surprise, like soggy enough to make you question the laws of physics. And yeah, the cup had that whole “just emerged from a lukewarm puddle” vibe. BUT! Gotta give ’em props, the flavor wasn’t totally offensive? It was like a faint whisper of what deliciousness *could* have been. And the wet cup? Look, maybe they’re just really enthusiastic about keeping things… hydrated? It’s not winning any awards for presentation, but hey, we’ve all gripped a slightly questionable beverage container in our day. Let’s just chalk it up to a “character-building” ice cream experience. The sogginess is a journey, and the wet cup is just part of the scenic route. We’ll survive. Probably.

The ice cream was not creamy like it has been in the past. Tasted like the cheap ice cream you get at a buffet. I went there because I’ve always loved DQ’s white and creamy soft serve but was very disappointed by the yellowish icy stuff I got tonight. Perhaps the franchisee is trying to cut costs or the machine needs new blades? All I know is I won’t be returning.

I ordered a cake online. I Went in to confirm it was placed.. 2 days after we had tried to call multiple times and without reaching anyone. This was also 2 days before the cake was needed. It was confirmed and I paid 7 dollars more than what the email said AND when I walked in, the phone was ringing and the person at the counter was playing on hood phone. I went into pick up the day of my daughter’s birthday. They hadn’t made my cake and then asked me if I could come get it a different day. I told them absolutely not. Then they told me that it would be ready 45 minutes later and I could come get it then. I picked up the poorest made cake I had EVER seen. I had special instructions of what I wanted the border color and writing to be. It was wrong. I also asked for only vanilla ice cream and there was chocolate ice cream in my cake. I am including pictures of the cake and what I asked for. If you really want an ice cream cake learn to make it yourself. They are rip offs and I refuse to ever use them again for the poor costumer service and the lack of attention to what the customer asked for.

Not great. I don’t know how else to put it.

The drive thru lane is ridiculously slow. On this particular trip, I was in line by 9:30pm and there were about 5 cars in front of me. I didn’t reach the ordering speaker until 10:00pm. And, when I got there, I was asked to hold for another 5 minutes. I was immediately informed that there were no more hamburgers for the night. Which, no big deal, that’s not what I was there for anyway.

Keep in mind, I’ve been to this location at least two other times and the line has been just as slow, if not worse.

Anyway, I opted to drive to Dairy Queen for a late night sundae specifically because I wanted a Peanut Blaster Parfait. If McDonalds still served peanuts, I would’ve gone there instead. So I ordered my Peanut Blaster and very slowly made my way to the pickup window. Once I got there, the young man working at the window said, “Sorry, we’re out of peanuts”. Okay…

I asked if I could order a medium hot fudge sundae instead. Which was almost $5. If I knew DQ was going to be out of peanuts, I would’ve went to McDonalds and paid under $2 for a basic hot fudge sundae. Not to mention, the sundae I received was a joke. The ice cream was melting and the serving size was definitely not worth what I paid for.

By the time my entire experience was over, I spent almost 40 minutes waiting for an overpriced sundae.

Lesson learned. I will not be back.

A bunch of teens that are clearly incapable of performing their tasks. Sad because I love DQ but when they are all giggling and joking around and can’t focus on their jobs the lose service for the business. Missing foood and drinks gave us blizzards with no lids.
