I had an amazing experience at this DQ! Blake and his team are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. They’re knowledgeable about every item they sell and are always happy to make recommendations. The location is also impressively clean and very well-maintained, especially considering it’s an older building. You can really tell they take pride in their work. Highly recommend stopping by!

The new owner brought our food to us and we had a very nice conversation. He told us that he and his brother (co-owners) closed the doors for two weeks after they bought the franchise at that location so they could deep clean it, and they did an excellent job. We were really impressed by the cleanliness, the attitude and service of the employees, the taste of the food, and the great service they all provided. Don’t judge this place based on the previous owner because it is a great place now. Their grandfather owned the Dairy Queen in Scottsbluff, NE Dairy Queen and their mom now manages it. He told us to stop there and say hello, and we actually did because we were driving through there and we met his mom. She was super nice and her staff was great. It was fun, and it showed us how much they all care about their customers, and their business. The employees in both locations were super friendly and went out of their way to help us and make our visit memorable. These two Dairy Queens are examples of small businesses in their towns that help their communities thrive, and we always like to support this. So be sure and stop in both locations and tell them the Texas couple said to stop and say howdy.

Spent 98$ on food just to receive rotten lettuce in my salad and for my 3 year old daughter to receive a moldy bun with her hotdog. I also ordered 8 drinks and only received 7 of them, and no straws. Why would I spend so much money for such poor service. The employees acted like they were just hired as well, very displeased and disgusted. Will be contacting corporate and making a bigger complaint. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Super long drive thru experience was waiting 15 minutes after I ordered. 1 of my blizzards was melted and spilled on me just as I was trying to bring it in my car… Should have known when they didn’t flip it upside down. They remade the blizzard, but it was mostly the mix-ins, which I never thought I would complain about, but there just wasn’t enough icecream. Additionally, the salad was pathetic and missing cheese, plus they didn’t give me a fork.
In response to the DQ response: I don’t live there. I was on a 20 hour drive between CO and MN.
*Update* I have increased the stars from 2 to 4. The management of this Dairy Queen reached out to me to make it right. Not only was she gracious about my negative review, she explained the staff was wholly new and the day was quite hot – they were still working out the kinks and clearly unprepared for the heat (making blizzards 10 minutes before handing them out and allowing them to melt). She also explained they had to remake several blizzards that day. I appreciated her willingness to work with me, especially considering I won’t be back through Cozad for a long time, if ever.

We had a nice visit here during our travels. We stopped for lunch and the employees were all very nice and got our orders perfect. The restaurant was clean and felt very welcoming inside.
We loved the dessert here the most! My kids each had a cupcake sundae and they were a big hit. I really liked the BBQ sandwich. We are traveling from Georgia, so it was nice to see they offer the BBQ up here as an option too.

If I could give this Dairy Queen a 0 I would. As sad as it makes me being from Cozad, this Dairy Queen has gone down hill. We waited 30+ minutes for our drive through food all for it to be cold & wrong. Sad we’ve lost this as a choice in our small town but until something is done about the staffing they need to close!

Ordered 3 blizzards and waited 30 minutes for order and nobody was there. Staff wasn’t friendly and girl that made the blizzards took forever and didn’t crush the Oreos so 2 Oreos set on top and the rest was just ice cream. Waste of our day.

Very nice staff and the food are good and not expensive. I really like the sundaes, it is so enjoyable on the way of road trip when outside is 36 degree.
