It was around 5:18 PM when I first walked in the building, I was the only customer inside. I smiled at some of the employees working there, trying to be friendly. Everyone that was upfront looked like they were dead inside and/or wanted to die.
I got my ice cream cake and put it on the right counter since there were two employees up there. I made eye contact with them and gave them a smile. One of the employees clocked out and I was waiting for a few seconds, just staring at them, waiting for the one up front (who didn’t clock out) to ring me up. Two more customers walked in and walked up to the registers on the left. The employee who was there, started to ring them up instead. I was absolutely livid. I wished the employee who I made eye contact with and smiled at, would have used his voice and told me that he could help me on the other register instead of just completely ignoring me! Then after two more customers walked in, I picked up my ice cream cake and placed it at the correct register.
A different employee rung me up, I don’t know his name, but he was absolutely amazing. He smiled, made eye contact and looked like he actually wanted to work there. He had amazing customer service.
I ordered a small ice cream cone along with my ice cream cake, the nice employee, told me it would be out soon. I stood towards the side, waiting patiently for my ice cream cone.
The employee who made my ice cream cone, instead of vocalizing and saying my order was done, he just stood and stared at me. I walked over to see if it was my ice cream and it was, so I grabbed it and thanked him. Although, the ice cream cone got done super quickly, so that was nice.
The service that night overall was horrible. Their communication skills need improvement; by a lot. I found it funny when I got my reciept and it says, “Still hiring smiling faces!” Yet, nobody (except one) was smiling, lol. But yet again, I do applaud the young man in the red cap who smiled and was actually courteous and kind.
My husband and I stopped at 6 pm on a Monday evening.
The line was not long to order but we did go sit down and our hot food was brought to our table within 5 to 7 minutes.
The food was very good!
The restaurant was very clean.
The staff was quick, very friendly and helpful.
There was plenty of parking and the restaurant was easy to see from the main road going through town.
I am glad we stopped in to eat on our way through town.
