THIEVES . I paid on a card. They gave a price. The recipe said that price. My bank texts me back immediately with a price 70 cents higher. I asked why. They said there is a charge for paying with a card. I said you should show that. The girl said do you want the OTHER recipe that shows it? You should give that recipe. There is fine writing above the window that you can’t read. They are purposely hiding this to STEAL from us and they know it’s wrong. 10 customers is $7 IN THIER GREEEDY POCKET. 100 customers us $70 and 300 customers a day is. $210 of our money in their thieving pockets. They lost my business.

Friendly staff, good service. Not many food options around the area.
It’s actually cheaper to go to Homestyle or China King. Usually about $25+ for 2 ppl at DQ.

Would give negative rating if possible. 15 minutes waiting in drive through. No food. Couldn’t figure out a plain double cheeseburger meal. Went inside asked for refund. Took the rest the money on my card until payday. 2-3 business days for refund. Doesn’t help me with lunch today within a lunch break! Paid 11.91 for a coke with light ice. Thanks!

The blizzards here are top notch, they put extra toppings on the top which makes blizzards amazing. Was disappointed to find out the new peppermint bark blizzard, which is my new favorite, was out of stock for the rest of the season and will have to wait for next year, severely disappointing.

Looks like something out of the last century, but it adds to the charm. Ice cream is good, it probably has enough calories to feed an elephant but it tastes excellent. Overall, I’m quite pleased, just can’t come here too often if I want to fit into my car.

I ordered a flamethrower meal. When I got my meal, I noticed my burger had a single drop of sauce on it. I asked the assumed manager for some extra sauce and they said it would be a dollar. I explained my situation, showed them the sandwich, and was told that is the normal amount of sauce the burger gets. No, it’s definitely not. I feel disrespected by the way I was treated and will not be eating at this location again. Dairy Queen is generally a good experience otherwise.

We were staying nearby and wanted a treat, so we hit the drive through for a couple of Blizzards. The young woman at the window couldn’t have been any kinder or more friendly, and we had a little chat about my nails while they were preparing our order – she was lovely! And the actual Blizzards were fantastic! You’d think they’re the same at every DQ, but not so! These had a perfect amount of mix-ins and even a wee garnish on top! Well-blended, not soupy…they really were great. Worth a drive to stop. Thanks for adding to our awesome vacation!

Look no further if you’re in search of a blizzard that has your choice of candy in every bite! I’ve been so disappointed in other locations because the bottom of the blizzard is always just ice cream … not this place! I’d go back for more but I was simply stopping through on a trip.

I watched a young man ask for a large water cup as he had forgotten his water bottle. The worker told him they only use the small cups for water, he asked nicely and she gave him a large cup. Immediately a lady who might have been the manager yelled at her and insisted the man could not have a large cup for water. She made a comment about the cup itself being more expensive than the soda.
Have in mind this guy had just purchased a meal, all he wanted was a cup of water as he had been working down the road on some construction projects. Ive never seen someone not allow a “large” cup for water.
Ridiculous, just very rude and it’s crazy he couldn’t have a cup for water…

In my opinion, this DQ Franchisee (owner) is just plain greedy. If you use a credit card, they make more profit off of you because they charge a 3.99% surcharge (even though their merchant rate is likely 1.6-2.7%); in reality, the 3.99% rate that they charge customers is more like 4.28% because they charge this rate on top of sales tax, too. The cashier told me that they are “splitting the fee” charged by the merchant account with the customer (which is not true unless their is an unusual reason for the owner to be charged such a really high merchant rate). If you ask for dipping sauces, most Dairy Queens provide one or two for free when you purchase a combo meal and then charge $0.30-$0.50 for additional sauces. This place charges $0.96 for each and every dipping sauce (none are free). Blizzards are runny and seem to be in smaller cups for the same size as compared to other local DQs. This location doesn’t even tip the blizzards upside down like what is required (because they would drip on the counter). 15-20 years ago, this place was really good; now, not so much. There is no reason to believe that this place provides the “best blizzards anywhere” unless you are talking about the distant past or are friends with the owners. I have visited this location many times over the past 30+ years and believe that this place is now just mid-to-low average as compared to other DQs. Staff is “ok” but not “great”. Cleanliness is just “ok” – last time it was bad but this time is was ok. Food quality was “ok” but not great. The place is nicely decorated but really needs to be updated (most of it is paint made to look nice – just don’t look too close). I was not impressed (again) by this place. In the future, I will go to the Buffalo location instead of this location. Employees always seem happier at the Buffalo location, you don’t get price gouged with additional and unusual/unnecessary fees, you seem to get more quantity and higher quality products, etc. And no, I have no connection to anybody at the Buffalo or Annandale locations.
