For the past 5 years this location has been going down hill. The drive thru speaker is horrible, the staff can’t hear you and you can barely hear them. Yet the staff has an attitude with you asking for you to speak up like it’s our problem that their speaker is shot. Then if you go inside you just hear the more senior staff yell at the new hires while they are struggling to help a customer. No patience for training or coaching the new hires. No surprise they can’t keep employees. When you ask for a smoothie that’s on the menu, the proceed to give a shake even after confirming multiple times for a smoothie not a shake.

We were on the road for a 2 hour ride. 3 of us were hungry. Dairy Queen would have satisfied all of us. We pulled up in the drive thru at 10:30ish- the sign said OPEN and the drive thru menu board was lit up. We waited a few minutes, but were not acknowledged. We pulled around to the window to see if the store was really open. We saw the headset on the counter with the lights blinking and a mop bucket. We could see a young lady sitting in a booth, she looked over at us and turned her back to us, took her pony tail out and started playing with her hair. As we drove out of the lot, we saw a young man with a DQ uniform on, standing in the lobby with the young lady and he watched us drive away. This is very disheartening to know that some people take such advantage of employers.

Went to the Baldwin Dairy Queen for supper yesterday. See the pictures to what we found the kitchen looking like. Garbage overflowing everywhere. Food waste laying on the counters, floors and even on the machines. Ice cream was everywhere as well.

We did not eat there and don’t recommend you do either. I will say it was a holiday, but there is no reason not to take a minute to empty the garbage can or wipe up spilled food.

We ordered 2 cherry mister misty floats. One was red and the other was white with a blotch of red on one side. I said to the young man, “That doesn’t look like a cherry Mister misty” He holds it up and points the the blotch of red and says yes it is and hands it to me. I told him it wasn’t right and he said he couldn’t take it back. I sat there looking at him and he finally said I can make you another and I said thank you. But why was I stuck driving around looking for a garbage for the one that was wrong?!!!

Submitted our online orders. Got to the DQ and it was closed. Went thru drive thru and they said they could not open….even though it was Monday at noon. What is up with that? They said they could not cancel the online order so they would have to heat up the grill and fryers. This took a long time and we were traveling and on a time schedule. Not happy with the wait but we had over $50 in online orders to wait for. Need to find a way to not take online orders if you are not going to be open to fulfill them.

Only the drive-thru was open. This was not a major issue except that being on the road, we wanted to go inside and use restrooms. Had to go to a nearby convenience store and then return. Service here was quick and my choco-brownie-extreme blizzard had a LOT of brownies, which was great. Often (other DQs) overdo the choco chips and are wimpy on the brownie. Asked for honey mustard sauce with the chicken but got ONE single BBQ sauce — vs. THREE honey mustards at a different DQ a couple weeks ago. Also had to ask for our change after paying cash. Both of these issues probably could’ve been avoided if the lobby has been open.

7pm and all but 2 tables are “closed” We were scolded by an employee who said the section was closed. The restaurant closes at 10pm. Later the worker came back to check to see if the other group sitting in the closed section had left. They did. I understand they’re short staffed. We should still be able to eat IN the restaurant. A different approach to this situation could be, hey guys, we’re short staffed, can you put the chairs back up when you’re done. Extremely disappointed in how un-inviting this restaurant is for paying customers.
The worker did apologize to us after I called her out. After we left they put up a sandwich board so no one could enter the section.

We were at DQ in Baldwin on July 27th at around 4:15 pm. The person who took our order was rude and made it seem like we were a very big inconvenience. No smile. No hi or thank you. We order 2, 6-pc chicken meals and a flame thrower meal. When we arrived home we discovered that we only received 2, 4-pc chicken meals and when my son went to eat his burger we discovered that both beef patties were burned all the way thru. Won’t even feed it to our dogs it was that burned! Please see picture below. Both burgers were this burned. This is the 2nd time we have been at this location and staff was rude. Used to have way better service and friendlier people who knew what they were doing!! At least the fries were hot and the drinks were cold.
