I don’t usually do reviews— but this place merits one… This might be one of the worst DQs in the city. I’ve been there numerous time in the last 6 months, and each time I’m met with rude customer service, incorrect orders, and long wait times. What’s happening, DQ?!
One such example- Yesterday. I went through the drive thru and ordered a Oreo blizzard. After receiving said blizzard, I noticed an obscure taste. An unknown blue dye was discovered on the inside rim of my cup. I’m hoping it was blue icing— but honestly have no actual clue what it was. Regardless, that’s disgusting. I immediately called the store and was met with a rude “come back and we’ll refund you”. I returned and spoke with (the manager?)… the two young boys working the drive thru laughed as she inspected my mysterious blue Oreo blizzard.

Get your act together DQ! What’s happening (or not happening) at this location?!!

Waited several minutes at drive thru kiosk yesterday. Told employee I had a coupon for buy one-get one free on Blizzards. Spoke very clearly and loudly for 2 small Blizzards which are priced at 4.99. He told me my total was over 11.00. I said not if I have a coupon. At the window he again asked for $11 plus. I gave him the coupon and he remembered then. He still tried to overcharge and I had to argue that sales tax isn’t that much!. Very terrible customer service and attitude. Not going back. Compare this to how Chick-fil-a treats their customers.

Zach Fry, The Real Estate Guy!
I usually love coming to Dairy Queen specifically because I can get actual, real cooked eggs for breakfast, but this particular location is a disaster. It is clearly poorly managed. Every time I visit, the dining area and bathrooms are consistently filthy.
The store is perpetually understaffed, leading to incredibly long wait times. To make matters worse, the staff has absolutely no hustle and are consistently rude. It’s disappointing to see a place with good food ruined by such a lack of care and professional standards

An employee named Barb went above and beyond by staying open a few extra minutes while closing after she heard we were getting a milkshake for our grandmother in the hospital. Our grandmother can only have liquids, and Barb’s kindness and compassion made this such a meaningful moment for our family. Because of her generosity, we will definitely be returning back to this Dairy Queen!

I dined in last week. It took about 8 minutes before anyone came to the counter to take my order, along with the several people standing behind me. The bun was saturated in grease and the fries were cold. Today I thought I’d give them a second chance but only the drive through was open. I worked in food service management prior to COVID and being short staffed was never an excuse to not open the lobby. People are just lazy.

January 9, 2026: A District Manager from the DQ franchise reached out today and we were able to talk on the phone. The phone call was a great indication of his concern in quality for his location. I’ve updated my rating and look forward to visiting this high-traffic location in Louisville again!

This trip was horrible, they had just 2 workers and line was long in drive through so went in and set there for 15 minutes and never got waited on so me and the people behind me left, this is not the 2 workers fault they was doing all they could this is on the manager and owner. Hopefully they can get this issue fixed.

I agree with Nichol from 4 weeks ago. Women’s bathroom is filthy. Bits of toilet papers on the floor. Also paper towels. Some tables were dirty. Outside garbage can really overflowing. Not busy. Why can’t that be the first thing that gets done? Draw people in instead of getting low ratings!

Worst DQ ice cream I’ve ever had. My banana split was COMPLETELY melted when they gave it to us but I tried to eat what I could and found the sticker of the banana in it. I usually never leave reviews but this was ridiculous and so awful.
