Growing up in Mt Washington, Dairy Queen used to be the best but lately (the past year or two) it has been at best, mediocre. Tonight completely ruined it for me though and I’ll probably not be back. Check your drinks is all I recommend.

This will likely be taking down since its an honest (brutal) review. Lets start off by saying that i loved next to this Dairy Queen my entire life. It is garbage. The kids working there, do not care. Just want a blizzard? Are there two cars ahead of you? Well luckily for you Dairy Queen employees will make your blizzard when you ordered it, and will let it sit there becoming a liquid soup, then serve it to you with no smile 10 minutes later after you sat in line. I had this gurl ask if i wanted my receipt. I said yes, she never gives the receipt (i thought maybe she put it in the bag.) should’ve checked but, no receipt. All that plus everytime i order a burger or chicken its always old, sitting in the warmer for god knows how long. Avoid this place like the plague.

My wife and I stopped in for some blizzards the other night, and while she was ordering I went to wash my hands. There was no soap. Right below the empty soap dispenser is the sign that’s in every restaurant bathroom, “Employees must wash hands before returning to work”. I asked the cashier how employees can wash their hands after using the restroom if there is no soap. I was met with a blank expression. I said, ok, you should refill the soap in the men’s room. “Umm…ok.”
I stopped in the next day just wondering if it was still empty…yeah, it was. So, this place is pretty disgusting and the employees don’t wash their hands after using the restroom.

Our Grill and Chill atmosphere is a staple in this little city on the outskirts of Derby City…check out the chicken biscuit for breakfast and grab the best java around town… Shake your tail feathers and order a Dairy Queen Ice Cream for your favorite Daddio…

Husband and I stopped in the drive through for a blizzard and caramel sundae. When we pulled around to pay, the employee didn’t bother to greet us nor tell us the total that we couldn’t hear over the intercom. Instead she just blankly stared and stuck her hand out for our card. She handed our items over with no words and didn’t even thank us or say goodbye, despite us saying thank you. Completely rude. Lastly, I didn’t realize until I got home that I was given a medium instead of the large I ordered. It hardly had any caramel. I get not liking your job, but you can go work somewhere else instead of making customers feel like an inconvenience.

This place is a very clean, enjoyable place to go to. The only feedback that I can offer is that sometimes, they can get my order wrong. Usually when I get a cheeseburger with ketchup only, they can give me pickles. But other than that we always choose Dairy Queen and thing this is a very reliable restaurant to go to. I really love that you can get a free mini blizzard after I play a sports game, thanks!

Drive thru visit, so the atmosphere was hot and humid…not really their fault. Service was good. Got the chicken finger box with a small smores blizzard. The blizzard was top notch on a hot day. The chicken finger box was decent. Will hit them up again.

We came in to get some ice cream, and later decided to get some food. The guy that took our order was very energetic and super friendly, and made the experience fun and enjoyable. He was very funny and helped us get what we needed. Even with the technical difficulties the equipment was having, the guy still found a way to get our order through, and the food was good, as well as the ice cream. However, the atmosphere was very toxic due to the manager yelling at the same guy described above, for placing an order for us, 8 minutes before closing. He didn’t do anything wrong, and given the situation, we feel he did the right thing by pushing the order through the drive thru option; which made it to where we would get our food, but it wouldn’t mess up the closing process. The yelling went on for several minutes, and the guy was visibly upset.
