We ordered through the drive thru a week ago. I moved to Tennessee from Michigan and was excited to see the Maple Cookie Shake you featured. I grew up on everything pure maple and was feeling homesick. This shake was like getting a hug! I loved it so much I stopped into the store Saturday to purchase it again. I was told that they were completely “sold out” of the Maple shake! I asked if the shake would be back after the next delivery truck and was told no. I was also informed that DQ will probably not ever get it again because it was too labor intensive and not cost effective. This made me angry. My specialty is restaurants and management. The clerk should never have said this to a customer. Secondly, my true feeling is that they just feel it’s a pain in the behind to make and didn’t want to make it. I can get a shake anywhere. I came to DQ to get this shake. If you are truly out of the mix and won’t order more what’s the point of coming back. If price is the reason you already know what to do…..either create a delicious, more cost effective way to make it or raise the price. Who gets rid of a crowd pleaser, customer drawing, money maker 5 minutes after they get it? Disappointed and angry!

Went through the drive-thru to get some blizzards. The pickup process wasn’t the easiest, but the employees can’t help what their system does. However, I didn’t even get to fully stop my car at the window before the lady running the drive thru had her hand shoved through my driver’s side window trying to hand me my order. Completely rude and unsafe. I don’t visit DQ often, but that probably sealed the deal of me not returning to this location for a while. Plus she didn’t even flip the blizzards upside down. Isn’t that like part of the whole tag line of getting a blizzard at DQ? Obviously that part is whatever, but it just added to the overall already unpleasant experience.

Update: Peanut Buster Parfait was so salty it was like eating sea water. It got into the ice cream and even the hot fudge was so baked in it that it was super clumpy. I love ice cream, but that was the one of the only ice creams I just couldn’t bring myself to finish eating.

Came through through the drive through on Tuesday night ordering was simple got to the window and the workers were so loud with the window closed all you could hear was cussing get my food from a girl named Elizabeth and she turns around and goes back to cussing. Crazy work I must say! This girl needs to be fired!!!!

Edit 4 Aug 2024 Thought I would give DQ another chance. Had 6 piece chicken tender combo with drink – $13.79. The fries were cold and hard. The chicken was barely warm and the toast barely warm. When I’m paying THAT MUCH for lunch, I expect the entire order to be cooked fresh. Not sitting under some poor heat lamp for hours. DQ is definitely off my list of place to eat now.

I lovetake my grand daughters to DQ for Blizzards. The drivethough is usually quick and easy. But I time it at slow times of the day. Sometimes we go inside to enjoy our treats. The employees are always friendly and helpful and the Blizzards are ready pretty fast. Store is clean and quiet. We have a great time. Btw, their chicken baskets are wonderful too.
