Wow! Stopped in on Monday evening on July 31 and we were “greeted” by some of the rudest, most inconsiderate group of employees — they were unfriendly, short-tempered and lacked any semblance of customer service. It seemed as though the manager wanted to not be there and his poor behavior radiated to the rest of the employees. The DQ in Mechanicsburg does it right — friendly staff, chunky blizzards — top notch service, exactly the opposite of the Camp Hill location!

I’ve had a coupon for $1 blizzard, I’ll admit it was old but there was no expiration date on it. I ordered through drive and disclosed that I had the coupon. I gave them the money and coupon at the window. They cashier checked said “hold on” and came back saying that his manager no longer aceeoted those coupons. I said there was no expiration date. He said sorry and close the window. I pulled away and got around the block and realized that I never got my dollar back. I returned immediately and went in asked to speak to the manager. The manger wouldn’t come to the counter and sent the employee out to return my money. I thinks it pretty pathetic that the manager couldn’t even gave a customer and apologize for the mistake and illegal practice of not honoring a coupon. I was rude or aggressive at any time. Shame on you Dairy Queen and your ethics!

Not only is Dairy Queen the best place for soft ice cream, Blizzards, and all manner of tasty frozen treats, they also have amazing hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken strips and sandwiches, French fries, and more. This location is open year-round, and I’m so glad.

My local Dairy Queen not only has excellent ice cream, Blizzards, malts, sundaes, banana splits, ice cream cakes, Misty Slush, shakes, parfait, etc., they also offer superb GrillBurgers, chicken (strips/tenders, sandwiches), hot dogs (I’m partial to the chili cheese dog!), the option to order reasonably priced combo meals, and a nice kids menu. Even though DQ is known for their ice cream, the hot items on the menu are very much well worth a try. People may be surprised at how good the cooked food is and the reasonable cost…it’s a nice place that is run quite well. Be sure to save room for dessert! Enjoy, folks.
