Sad that this location cares nothing about being part of the community.
The sign says no public restrooms. Who is going to bring children to a place like that?
Not a smile nor anything welcoming when we approached the counter
We arrived 15 minutes before closing. All chairs were up on tables and they appeared to have no interest in anything other than getting us out the door. Then they shut off the lights 4 minutes before closing time.
And would it kill them to out out a napkin dispenser instead of hiding them under the counter

Purchased three kids meals and were not given ice cream cones. Went back up after eating and the owner stated we did not claim them at the time of purchase so no. They come with the meal and we ate inside! Also provided 1 napkin per person and 1 ketchup per person. Asking for more was like asking for the keys to his restaurant. Do better!!

Tried to order a chocolate chip shake – which is a vanilla shake with hot dip chocolate mixed in. The guy at the counter didn’t understand – and when we complained the order wasn’t correct the owner blamed us for failing to order correctly. We’ve encountered this issue a couple times with this order so we explained it very clearly when we ordered but there was language & culture barrier here. Will definitely not return to this location. I don’t need to argue with the DQ owner about whether or not I ordered correctly.

Make sure the Dairy Queen app sends you a bar code for your birthday treat. The app may show your birthday and you may have a driver’s license not that didn’t matter to this Dairy Queen. They only care about the barcode.

Sad to see what has become of this long time Northbrook establishment. Barely any toppings and reduced portion sizes with increased prices. The new owners have zero clue that this neighborhood place is more than nickel and diming and squeezing every penny out of people that have been coming here for decades. Four people working and every employee ignores the very long line of people to take telephone orders and perform other tasks.
We were 4th in line when we arrived and it took 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. Once we ordered, it was another 10 minutes until we received our two Blizzards.
Two stars because after half an hour the ice cream was good.
Edit: Gave them a second chance six months later. Same result. Line is out the door and they are ignoring the customers in line.

Excellent DQ location With amazing burgers and blizzards. We ordered three double cheeseburgers with Oreo blizzard and all of them were delicious. The female employee working was especially friendly and helpful.

When it’s good, it’s good. But when it’s bad, it’s really bad. Service was behind, deleted the order by mistake halfway through, finally got the food and portions were too small. Cannot risk coming again for lunch as I might be late punching back in.
