We stopped by this ice cream shop on a whim, just looking for a quick snack—not expecting anything out of the ordinary. But wow, what a surprise. Right away, I was greeted by who I believe is the owner, and she was incredibly sweet. She spoke so warmly and confidently about everything on the menu, it made choosing almost impossible—there were so many great options!
She recommended the Cookie Monster (which ended up being amazing), and I ended up ordering four different treats. The total? Less than $20. With a price like that, I expected the quality to be so-so, but it was honestly the opposite. Everything was rich, flavorful, and loaded with ingredients all the way through—none of that “all the good stuff is on top” problem you sometimes get with other places.
Even though this shop is far from where I live, I’m genuinely happy it exists. It felt like stumbling upon a hidden gem. I really hope they stick around for a long time. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate—stop in and treat yourself. I think you’ll be glad you did.

Fun place to get ice cream near Yankton Lake. I ordered the upside down banana split and it was great. Nice selection of sundaes, malts and shakes. Quick service in spite of being busy.

The grandkids got ice cream while I got French fries. The fried are the kind where they’re double dipped and fried. So good, the staff there are so friendly patient with us older people. They’re busy but not unreasonable wait time. I’ve gone here for several years, and it’s one of my highlights to coming to the Yankton area when I visit family.

We waited for over 30 minutes in the walk up for our ice cream after we paid. There was a huge line behind us also waiting. They were busy and kept up with the inside orders and the drive thru, but continued to not work on any outside walk up orders. I went inside twice and my order was finally worked on 6 minutes after myself and another gentleman asked for our money back.

Flippin delicious! The perfect soft serve mix. You know how some places taste very fake or so creamy it’s not good? This place tastes great! After I finished my small, I’d wished I had gotten a medium even though it was a good serving size. Priced well and good service. Outdoor seating and lots of parking.

I cannot say I have a decent experience in my 12 years as a customer. Fantastic chicken strips though (if you don’t mind chipping your teeth of course). They could stand not letting every rich person’s kid work there as well. I love the idea of a kid ran ice cream shop, but it only seems like only 70% of the staff actually shows effort in insuring you get what you asked for. It is a beautiful place with so much ambiance, really the only reason I come back at this point unfortunately.
