Whenever I’m in the area, the family and I always visit. My wife used to work here back in high school, and I always look forward to seeing if the unicorn flavor of coconut would show up. After 7 years of visiting, it finally came around! The girls who take our orders are quick and efficient. Dairy Dee’s ambiance is the quintessential Midwest summer dessert restaurant treat that you’d think of when you remember 90s movies.

This place raised me. I’ve had more core memories at Dairy Dee than in my actual home. The soft serve tastes like how summer break used to feel. The fried pickles? Life altering. I don’t know what oil they’re using but I’d baptize my future children in it. Every visit feels like returning to the womb but with better snacks. 11/10 no notes.

Amazing ice cream! They always have flavors that no other places has. Food has always been good, a long eith the customer service. Great small town feel. Outside seating to enjoy warm weather. I recommend you try them out if you are around Sumner, IL and looking for some good treats!

I don’t like to leave one star reviews especially because small town businesses are my favorite but after three trips here and having poor experiences each time it is my honest review. The customer service was horrible every time, grumpy employees who acted annoyed. I’m not sure if they were annoyed at their job or annoyed I was there but either way, 0/5 stars. I tried several items off the menu, I would stick with the ice cream (it’s normal grocery store level quality) and avoid the burgers at all cost. I enjoy their fun seasonal flavors of ice cream but honestly nothing has been worth the price to me. I hope they do some customer service training and sell some improved products next season.

Dairy Dee is a popular Ice Cream shop in the small community of Sumner, Illinois. I like to go there for dessert on weekends when I have been to Vincennes to eat dinner. Dairy Dee offers up all your favorite standards as well as a number of treats that rotate each week. Every Thursday is when they change flavors.

Ice cream is fine, service leaves a lot to be desired. Idk how they mess up simple orders so badly. I’ve had trouble getting milkshakes and cones right here, really basic stuff and they still mess it up.
