The service was not there, and I just ordered to go. The lady at the counter was not interested in helping or explaining dishes to me, as I’m pretty new to ramen and Asian food. She was much too busy looking at pictures on her iPhone. It was very slow, so I get it, but her nonverbal communication set a vibe that did not make me feel welcome, but rather that I was ruining her relaxing time or something like that.
Also wanted to mention, the meal showed vegetarian fried rice but instead got the pork, it was good, but i really wanted to try the vegetable fried rice. Thank you.
Service: our waitress was friendly and attentive. Great customer service
Atmosphere: a typical ramen restaurant. Noise level is low –easy to carry conversation with your party.
In short, food and price are good. Service is lacking on follow up.
Work on timing and presentation. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen and a 4-piece gyoza order. Why did it take 5 minutes after you already served my ramen to come out with the gyoza. On top of that, you lost all sense of presentation and just threw the gyoza on the plate any which way; it’s not like there was anyone else in the restaurant when I arrived and many minutes after that….
Regarding service, be sure to follow up and ask me how I’m doing at least once…. I’m no fan of constant questions during service, either, but the way your waitress did it today was basically come in, order, get served, and pay the bill–no follow-up in between, even when people were just trickling in as I was about to leave!
And, don’t be shiesty with your napkins or risk appearing like you’re unnecessarily penny pinching. That’s just gauche, anyway, especially for such tasty food.
Otherwise, I genrally agree with other reviewers: The food is good (though not that generous, IMO) but the price is reasonable compared to many other places on this island and state.
Keep on improving. I’ll be back!
