Peche “Peche” Peche
I tried Dadou’s Haitian Restaurant for lunch and ordered the rice and peas with two tostones, goat with onions and peppers, plus cabbage hot sauce on the side. The lunch special was a great deal at $18 and easily fed two people.
The flavors were spot on and the hot sauce had a good kick that blended really well with everything on the plate. I really enjoyed the rice and peas it was moist, flavorful, and not dry at all, which made everything very enjoyable.
The goat, however, could have been better. It was a bit dry and chewy, which took away from the overall dish. Still, the portion was fair and everything else made up for it.
Overall, a tasty and affordable lunch spot with great flavor and generous portions. I’d definitely door dash it next time, maybe try another dish.

The food tasted really good but i am very dissappointed with the portion size of meat….i ordered a large stew goat but to me it looks like a small side of goat. The portion side of meat could have been more for $27.99. Im not asking for the whole pot but i dont think its enough for $27.99.

Had the pleasure of eating at this local family restaurant. Mr Claude and his daughter Claudia made me feel truly welcome. I had the stewed goat with black rice which was amazing!! Claudia explained how some of the food was made and I had some fresh soursop juice. Sorry I missed having soap because I came on Thursday . See you soon!

Dadou’s Haitian Restaurant is a great new spot in Middletown NY The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic—just like home. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
It’s nice to finally have a Haitian restaurant in the area, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend checking it out!

This was my first time trying Haitian food and this place gave me an AMAZING introduction. The food was very good, well seasoned and nicely proportioned. I was also met with the kindest service from the moment I placed the order over the phone and when picking up. I definitely will be back to try more soon!

If you’re looking for a place where flavor has no borders and hospitality speaks every language, Dadou’s is it !! From the moment you walk in, the energy is vibrant, the restaurant is clean, and the people are amazing! The menu isn’t just fusion for the sake of novelty; it’s a thoughtful blend of authentic dishes from around the world, prepared with deep respect for the cultures they represent. The fried chicken, fish, and black rice was my first time trying Haitian rice and it was DELICIOUS!! But what truly sets this place apart is its mission: to create a space where food is a bridge, not a barrier. Conversations flow easily across tables. Strangers become friends. And people from all backgrounds feel like they belong. TRY IT YOU WON’T REGRET IT!! 10/10

Great food! Very tasty and served fresh. I would recommend anyone craving well-seasoned food to eat here. I’ll return!
Update to add: they should work on consistency. I ordered goat again and the meat was VERY TOUGH. I was unable to tear it apart, even with my hands. Needless to say, I had to throw it out.

So excited to have Haitian food closer than nyc! Drove from dutchess county and it was totally worth it. The food was delicious! We had black rice and griot, poulet en sauce with rice and beans and a side of legumes. Everything was fantasticly seasoned. The fried plantains were perfect. Food was soo good we are going to have them cater our event in a few weeks. Will definitely be back!

The elderly lady at the front door not very friendly. My order was through Too Good To Go App. That reduces food waste by allowing you to purchase excess food that would be thrown out for a cheaper price. I got a lot of rice, 3 pieces of what looked like Pork chunks with a lot of fat and bone, and a Turkey Wing Tip… not a fan. Probably won’t be trying that again or ordering there…

Just discovered my new favorite restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious—full of flavor and clearly made with love. It’s a cozy, family-owned spot and you can feel the warmth as soon as you walk in. Everything from the griot to the rice was perfectly seasoned and authentic. So happy to have a place like this in the neighborhood—definitely recommend!
