Just pulled out of the parking lot. I must say, very good. I’ve been wanting to try this since I first found out they were moving to th3 Dixie location. I was not disappointed. I had rhe catfish, which took about 5 minutes (they cook it fresh), with baked beans and cabbage. The service was great. Greeted by every staff member on the floor. I was just nice all around. Definitely going back.

I love when restaurants open on Dixie.
We went to Daddy Vic’s a couple of weeks after the grand opening.
It’s kind of odd to start, because you have to walk through the entire dining area to get to the serving line, but they have to deal with the building as it is.
I got meatloaf, cooked cabbage, mashed potatoes and gravy and a cornbread muffin. The meatloaf was a good-sized portion that had a good texture and taste with a tomato-based topping. The cabbage was tasty and had what looked like smoked sausage in it and was not over or undercooked, which isn’t an easy thing to do with steam tables. The mashed potatoes were perfect. The muffin was on the sweet side, which isn’t my favorite, but it was still good.
The service was great. Lots of friendly efficient people checking to see if everything was alright.
My only complaint is that it was loud. I mean LOUD. Whatever was playing over the sound system (I can’t remember what it was, since I was trying really hard to block it out at the time.) made it difficult to talk to my co-diner and the staff.
