We had never eaten at the Black Hat Cattle Company until last Thursday. It was a wonderful experience. Wait staff was great and the food was perfect. Steaks can’t be beat and the mixed vegetables were fantastic. Also, we met Dave the owner and he is a very gracious host. We will definitely be back to eat here when visiting Evergreen.

I got the cowboy ribeye here and it was excellent!!! It is kind of pricey but I don’t mind paying for good quality and the quality here is in the excellent catagory. Also had a piece of home made pecan pie with an espresso flavored ice cream. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Good bourbon selection. Staff was good, we were seated rite away without reservations. Great steak house.

Nice western/cowboy atmosphere and decor and very friendly staff. We had the Cesar salad with anchovies and the house salad to start. Both were very good. Nice shaved Parmesan in the Cesar. My gin huckleberry martini was good. They forgot the advertised sugar rim, but a minor error. We split the seafood combo platter and added on “Oscar style”. The Béarnaise sauce was a good addition to the seafood plate, but the blue crab was completely tasteless and there were only 3 sad, skinny asparagus ($10 add-on). Only 3 shrimp on the $43 plate seemed very skimpy, too. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive enough. One note is they won’t bring bread unless you ask for it, which is reasonable to me. I had the sense this was a family tun business. When we left at 9 pm, we were one of the last patrons. I hope they get enough business as it was a pleasant evening with thoughtfully prepared food.

The service was top-notch! Steaks were tender and prepared to order, ranging from med-rare to medium well, everyone got what they ordered. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that I had the special filet with lobster tails, and the lobster was overcooked

Just a great dining experience! The preparation and presentation were outstanding. Nice warm environment. Our waiter paid just the right amount of attention to us. Rib eye was tender, flavorful and cooked to my liking. We will go back again for sure. Looking forward to eating on their patio.

My girlfriend and I came here for my birthday. We were going to go to a fancy restaurant in Denver until a local recommended Black Hat Cattle Co. Our experience here exceeded our expectations!! The owner greeted us immediately, and Kenneth, our server, was attentive. My girlfriend and I couldn’t stop talking about how perfect the food was. We had the filet mignon, lobster tails, and a side of grilled shrimp!! We will be back.

My wife and I enjoyed this spot. We will definitely return. The staff was all wonderful, the food was definitely above average. Calamari was awsome. For some reason, there was a clear dynamic between the bartender and staff, so we did not get all the drinks we would have liked.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised! The menu was a throwback to 70s steakhouses, but it was done with flourish! The lobsterette bites were garlicky and delicious! The Medallions Bearnaise was on point with real bearnaise and the tarragon was prevalent and nicely balanced. The chocolate-bourbon pecan pie was a great complement to a very nice meal! Will definitely go back!

The atmosphere and location is worth the trip alone. Cosy with a western flare that harks back to the old west. Then, there’s the service and the mouth-watering, tasty food! This is where we go for special occasions that call for above average. This is our second time here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. We had the Mixed grill plate of shrimp, salmon and filet mignon with a baked potato (me) and Yukon gold mashed for the hubs. Jules was our server and took great care of us. The Mixed Grill is filling and the filet was tender heaven. The shrimp and salmon were tasty and cooked right. Well worth your time and money. Yes, we will return again and again.
