Went to Daddy O’s for the first time on Sunday with my wife and was not let down. There are so many food options and different combos you can put together. I wanted to try as much as we could so we ordered the brisket/hot link/ribs/potato salad/coleslaw/mac and cheese/ and some seated behind us suggested we try the collard greens. The brisket was super juicy/flavorful and same with the links, ribs were seasoned well but a tad on the tough side. All the sides were fantastic especially the collard greens. OZ was super kind and always checked up on us to make we were still good. Wife loved the interior vibes. Looking forward to coming back to Daddy O’s in the near future.

The food is outstanding. If you go there go with a large appetite. The portions are large enough for 2 meals at a single meal price. The location is capable of indoor or outdoor meals however the dining area is small more suited for the eat and run crowd. The facilities primary function appears to be catering more than the come relax and enjoy a meal in our establishment kinda business. However I would recommend this business to anyone looking for takeout at a more than fair price. I personally have and will be returning for future order placements.

I’ve been lucky enough to try a lot of BBQ places in Sacramento, but Daddy O’s Smokehouse is by far my favorite. I’ve been there at least five times, and each time the food has been better than the last. The ribs, tri tip, and brisket are the best I’ve ever had. The servings are huge, even for big eaters, and I always clean my plate. The greens and mac and cheese are also out of this world! I’ve brought several friends, coworkers, and family, and they all fell in love with this place. I highly recommend it!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST BBQ I HAVE EVER LAID MY HANDS ON BESIDES MY FAMILY’S OWN!!!! Daddy O’s tastes like the culture, let me tell you!!! They bring the family reunion take-home plate right to you. The meats are so flavorful. ALL of the sides are insane, and the prices are well justified. Not only that, but the inside of the establishment is so beautiful. My husband and I came here because we were craving bbq. We are new to the area and live down the street. This is a beautiful restaurant. It’s clean and you can tell it’s family owned and I love that! We ordered the pork ribs, brisket and jerk wings. The wings and brisket were our favorite. The yams are absolutely to die for. Please support this family owned business. When you first step in, there’s a menu board right at the register. They have classic BBQ options, and they have a wine list. There’s books about African history and black figures to the left, along with some bar seating and a wall of wine bottles. To the right, there’s lots of seating at regular tables. There’s also some seating outside (similar to the ones you see at public parks). The temperature inside is usually okay, but when it’s warmer outside, it becomes warm inside as well. I’m not sure if they have A/C, but I definitely didn’t feel it. There’s decent parking available.
The staff are nice, but the service can be slow. I once was standing at the register for a couple of minutes before anyone approached me. The wait for food can be between 15 minutes and 35 minutes.
When I saw the price ($30-$35), I thought it was steep, but when I tasted the food and saw the portion size, it was absolutely worth it. There’s a lunch and dinner option. I would recommend getting the dinner option because you already get portions enough for 2 people, but you get an extra roll. I’ve had the brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, collard greens, and rolls. Everything tastes amazing. The brisket and mac & cheese truly are perfect.

Let me just say this place is underrated! I just moved from LA up to Rancho and simply just thru google reviews I thought to just give it a shot. Food was damn good. I mean seasoned to the bone. Meat was tender and just fell off the bone. The chicken was tender and seasoned so well with a lil kick! Collards was off the charts good! Now I know everybody like their potato salad made different, this one ain’t sweet just so you know, but still yummy! In my humble opinion the meat that was provided to us was undercooked and seasoned challenged. The owner was overwhelmed with the lack of staff present and did his best to keep things flowing. Delivery order on 1/17/26 was Soulful! Pulled Pork and Brisket, Mac and cheese, was hot as right out the oven. Collard Greens were outstanding and the Yams, candied as they should be. Thank You Daddy O’s for a Delivery order that was still hot. Brisket and pulled Pork are left overs today. I’m a customer and I appreciate what you do. Great Experience.
