I just ate here for the first time and it was incredible, we got the Punjabi Samosa’s, garlic naan, aloo paratha, butter chicken and chapli kebab. The chapli kebab was new to me and very delicious and the butter chicken was the best I have had hands down. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my first time eating Indian food and I loved it! We went in with a group and had a fantastic meal. The menu has a lot to choose from and the descriptions were very helpful. The service was fantastic and the staff were able to make recommendations and everything was delicious.

We started with the chicken and beef samosas which were excellent and crunchy and flavorful. The dipping sauces went great with everything.

Dinner was chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and the tandoori bbq baithak platter. We also got the garlic naan, chapati, and Kandahari naan to mop up the sauces. And for dessert we got the Shahi Kheer.

There was so much food when it all came to the table, we were not prepared. Everything was served hot, the dishes were so flavorful, and the portions were a really good size, so we got to pass around food and try each other’s plates.

The Tandoori Bbq Baithak Platter was the show stopper. It came out sizzling on a skillet and was full of delicious, spicy goodness.

We were so full when we left and we will ABSOLUTELY be back again soon.

We discovered this restaurant, while visiting the Milwaukee area. We BOTH love middle eastern food, but she cannot handle a lot of spice. After reading some reviews, we decided to make the trip….and we are happy we did! Walking into the restaurant, the smells of all the spices filled the air. Honestly, you could charge for the smells in this place!!!

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and she got her (usual) Butter Chicken. We also got some Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan and an order of Aloo Paratha. She thought the Aloo Paratha was too spicy for her, but I absolutely LOVED IT! The Naan was cooked really well. There was a slught crisp to the ends of the bubbles in the bread, which blended well with the sauces. I tend to like a LOT of garlic so the Naan was a little bland for me; so it should be fine for everyone else. Though the sauces seemed a little thin, the taste spoke VOLUMES. Everything tasted SO FREAKING GOOD and the service was really quick and ever so kind.

I have never had Limca before. If you haven’t, it is a lemon / lime flavored carbonated drink. I thought it was sweet, she thought it was perfect. She opted for Pakola Cream Soda, which she also loved. I’m not a fan of cream soda, but it wasn’t bad at all.

Oddly enough they also have New York Style Pizza and other “Americanized” dishes for those who would opt for something else.

This is our new “GO TO” for Pakistan / Indian food in the greater Milwaukee area. Absolutely wonderful!!!

I ordered online and got scammed. The chicken pakora looked like they were French fries I was shocked when I opened the box and saw twigs of chicken!! The garlic naan was sweet instead of savory. It tasted like they hadn’t cooked the naan at all. Also I ordered the chicken karhi the spice level was supposed to be medium but it tasted sweet. FINALLY to finish this all off the pizza was burnt EVERY SINGLE SLICE it was also filled with oil on top and there was barely any chicken on there. DONT GO HERE IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND TIME

We had lunch at Baithak of Punjab today . The food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and service was prompt and on point. We had the Baithak platter and found it to be fresh , meat was tender and flavorful . Karahi was very tasty and naan was huge and soft. Aloo paratha filling was delicious . The gajar halwa was just perfect. Overall experience was great and we can’t wait to be back and try more dishes .

We ordered take out. When we arrived to pick up the food, it wasn’t it quite ready. The gentleman who brought out the food to us gave us two sodas as a thank you for being patient. We really didn’t mind waiting. We love hot food. When we got home and took the food out, it smelled so good. It all tastes even better. We got the Baithak platter and butter chicken. We got garlic naan and plain naan. Sooooooo delicious and my kids loved it too (12 and 5). We ordered a second time about two months later. Different items. Just as delicious. We are so happy to have this on the neighborhood!

Excellent customer service. Staff is amazingly kind, helpful, and the food is extremely delicious. My family and I were there over the weekend and we enjoyed the Haleem, daal fry, naan, bbq platter. Mango and plain lassi were great too! If you are in the Milwaukee area please make sure to dine at this restaurant. Mr Raouf and Mr. Arsalaan will graciously welcome you to their humble restaurant. Thank you everyone for making our dine in memorable

This place is phenomenal!!! For those that cannot handle a lot of heat, but love flavor, this place doesn’t disappoint!!! I cannot handle spicy food at all, so I asked for super super mild. The chicken tikka masala has almost no heat, and the butter chicken did have some heat, but I was able to eat it. The flavor in the food was SO full and rich. The ONLY critique I have is that I wish the sauce was thicker .. it was pretty thin. We also had the garlic naan and we tried the Aloo Paratha (flatbread filled with seasoned mashed potatoes). The naan was really good, and the aloo paratha was pretty spicy, but I had to eat some of it just because it was SO good. The owner was so sweet … she suggested I put a dab of yogurt with sugar in it to tame the spice down in my mouth and it worked!! They also brought us some kheer for dessert, and wow was that good … its similar to a sweet rice pudding type of dessert.

All in all, fantastic experience and we will be back!

We went last night and were VERY pleased with the overall experience. They kept the decor from Marcel’s, only replacing most of the artwork. They have set up the tables in such a way, that even though it is mostly open, there is a sense of privacy for your immediate table.

The service was impeccable. The young man who waited on us was knowledgeable and patient. When one of our group wasn’t sure about a menu item, he stopped taking orders and went to the kitchen. Another table was being brought their food so he went to finish prep on the dish she was questioning so he could bring it over and show her before delivering it the other table. She ordered it. An older gentleman helped serve our meals, and stopped over as we were preparing to leave to make sure we had an enjoyable evening with good food. We did.

The food is delicious! What our table ordered: Punjabi Samosa, Chicken Pakora, Garlic Naan, Onion Naan, Mango Lassi, Chicken Malai Boti, Baithak Platter, Gulab Jamun, and Gajar Halwa. There were two other dishes ordered as well, but since one of the menu pages is not represented on maps, I cannot determine which ones they were. Everyone said everything was absolutely delicious though. We didn’t think to specify our spice level so everything came out as medium spice. Some things were a bit spicier at medium than one would imagine, but certainly not intolerable. So just remember – specify spice level.

Highly recommend!

The Baithak of Punjabi is an absolute gem in Milwaukee.
Every single dish we ordered hit the mark. The Kandahari naan was lip-smacking good, and the nihari and paya were deeply flavorful and incredibly satisfying. The malai kebabs and chapli kebabs were juicy, tender, and served in generous portions. Even the mango lassi tasted truly authentic.

The chicken fry was pure nostalgia—comforting and perfectly done. Appetizers were top-notch, especially the fried fish and spring rolls, which disappeared fast at our table.

Beyond the food, the vibe is cozy, family-friendly, and genuinely welcoming. What truly stood out was a board that mentioned anyone can eat here even if they can’t afford it, with dignity and discretion. That kind of kindness is rare and speaks volumes about the heart behind this place.

Fantastic food, warm hospitality, and a restaurant that leads with compassion. Highly recommend them.
