Great Italian restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The Margherita pizza had a perfect thin crust with fresh tomato and mozzarella, and the pasta was full of flavor. Friendly service and good portion sizes. Would definitely come back!

Tucked away in a back wynd if we weren’t told about it we wouldn’t have tried it. Been there for 9 years!

Two of us went on the recommendation of a colleague. Mind you we are staying in a hotel 3 mins walk away and wouldn’t know it was there.

Small and quaint. Ingredients are fresh and wine list is pretty extensive for the size.

The vegan choices on the website are not on the menu as I wanted to try a main as a starter but they were unwilling to do it for the pricing. Offered to pay for the highest starter but they wouldn’t budge.

Food came fast and hot. See pics for menu. Was amazing. The Negroni was good if a tad sweet. The rosé perfect.

Pizza crust was divine and can easily feed two if you had starters.

Food was delicious and precise portions. Skipped dessert much to my dismay.

100% would recommend and will go back to explore the menu more extensively.

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy this location very much. Despite only having us and one more table, the food took very long. Over 30 minutes for 2 pizzas and a starter. The portions were very small for the price. The bruschetta had 3 tiny pieces of bread and needed salt (or some sort of flavour) it was nothing special. I’ve added a photo to the Caprina pizza. It took 30 minutes for that?! Where is the sausage? Where is the caramelised onion and goat cheese? There’s barely anything on this pizza. £18 for this? We’ve had better at dominos.
The waitress was polite and the atmosphere was cozy but that’s where the positives end.

A little hidden gem! Slightly off the main strip but worth the walk!
I work offshore, so it’s becoming my main place for a decent feed when I land!

Warm and friendly, you’ll find everything from amazing pasta to wood fired pizzas, and classic Italian desserts!

My default is the mushroom tagliatelle with truffle oil and a tiramisu to finish! I had the air dried beef with parmesan to start this time round!
For fans of a grappa after dinner they have two to ease that full tummy!

I had two large glasses of wine, a basket of wood fired, garlic focaccia, and two grappas, just to reflect the pricing!

Proper Italian food done right!

Nice little restaurant slightly hidden away down an alley.
I tried one of their mocktails and it was delicious, also didn’t seem overpriced like many are nowadays.
We had the house pizza from the specials and wild boar ravioli. Pizza was good but really enjoyed the ravioli.
Service was good and had no issues.

So I got had a table today at half six and it started off good got sat on a table we liked, the staff seemed nice at first. We got our drinks which were fine and tasty. Then our garlic bread came which was very fine but parts of it was burnt and were disgusting to eat. We did eat it as we were hungry but maybe take it out a bit sooner next time. We both got the vegan lasagna which was delicious but had way too much cheese and was greasy. There was a pool of grease on the side may I add. Then the staff happened. The two young waitresses were lovely but the blonde was seemed a bit off. I noticed the attitude changes towards the other young waitresses who had dark brown hair. Majority of staff were quite rude and were mimicking the young one with dark brown hair. I also noticed how they blankly ignored the door when new customers came inside which was very clear as there’s a bell and we all hear it. They were stood quite near us and I find it hard to believe they didn’t hear it. Food was overall good but vibe was definitely put off as a very big table was sat right beside us and were very loud which was understandable as it’s a lot of people just wish it was spread out more. Would came back but it was very pricey for two people who just had two mains, one side, drinks and dessert.

Now you are probably aondering about the food. It is okay, good choice, well cooked, but there was no WOW factor. The warm bread was just a lot of the same white loaf toasted, the wild boar ravioli could have come from the ‘essential’ boil in the bag range and the tiramasu was just sweet stuff in a small jar.

For a young or old couple great place sitting by the wood burner on a wet and windy cold winters night. For foodies, a nice place to visit if you are close by or want a change. But at this point, I will only return if there is no other choice.

A really lovely restaurant. Authentic Italian, with a rustic feel. The food was fantastic, the server was really welcoming and friendly. Music was gentle and set the mood well. It’s quite a romantic place.

As a point of improvement, If you can please change the noises from the restaurant phone and door. They are very loud and they really break up the atmosphere set by the lighting, the smelling candles and the music. Once that’s done, I think the restaurant will be the absolute best!

– 45 mins to be served cold starters then a further 15 mins for the main
– Food was really bland with no decent flavour (maybe just got it on a bad night?)
– Final nail in the coffin is the automatically added 12% service charge for basic service
– Really disappointing as we had been looking forward to trying here, would not recommend
