The location of this restaurant is somewhat cursed as past businesses never lasted long. Dominos, gone. Taco Del Mar opened up twice, gone twice. Tortugas, gone. They’ve been open for close to 10 years by now so they’re doing something right!

ATMOSPHERE:
Simple decor and indoor seating. There is no sink, let alone restrooms in the restaurant to wash your hands. Instead, you have to trek to the middle of the mall to use theirs.

BEVERAGE:
No alcohol but okay to BYOB.

FOOD:
Fried Calamari
The breaded rings and tentacles had a good flavor without being super oily, and came over a bed of crispy, slightly spicy Cajun fries. The dipping sauces were cocktail and an orange-colored sweet/fruity concoction which I didn’t care for. More appropriate sauces would’ve been marinara and tartar.

Fried Catfish
My fave! Two good-sized filets were breaded, deep-fried golden brown, and moist & flaky inside, all over a bed of Cajun fries. The only place that serves catfish, that I know of, on Maui.

Gumbo
Pretty legit and tasty recipe, I must admit. Another fave of mine.

Dungeness Crab
My crab was old as some of the meat smelled of ammonia, and it was missing 3 legs. I got it done in garlic butter which didn’t add much flavor to the crab meat aside from coating the shell in an oil slick. The amount of garlic used was minimal to none, so I’d advise adding on another flavor in addition to this to give it some sort of life, or ask for drawn butter for dipping.

SERVICE:
Folks have been friendly throughout the years.

OVERALL:
After my last seafood boil at Hot & Juicy Crawfish in DC, I swore I’d never eat this type of cuisine again, but I had to give these guys a try. Nice effort and fair pricing. I’d eat here again to try more things but will pass on the bagged items, especially the Dungeness crab.

The food was great but it just feels a little dirty in here. Prices weren’t too bad for the area. I don’t like to devein my shrimp. I know that’s a preference, but it would have been nice to have the shrimp cleaned. Don’t get me wrong, I still ate every piece. Just wanted to leave an honest review. Kids ordered cat fish and chicken strips. Ate everything on their plates!

Just had the most amazing meal here. Be prepared to get messy, they provide bibs and gloves. Do not miss out if you are staying in Maui, it’s a little hidden gem in a shopping centre. The staff were so friendly and when I had questions about the menu they were happy to answer. I have never had such fresh amazing sea food.

Good place for seafood. We got off the airplane, in search of food. In searches crab on Google and Da Shrimp showed up. It’s not open until 11am but we figure we’d just go wait.

By the time we were seated, the friendly waitress gave us some crayons as we have two kids in the party. The table was covered with a sheet of white paper. Hmm, probably we should draw. So, the party of 7, aged from 6 to 71 started drawing. We ordered seafood combo, along with raw oysters. The food was served, but without utensils. All we got are gloves and bibs. OK, that’s something interesting!

The combo seafood was delicious. The oyster was also very fresh and delicious. We loved it so much that we dropped by again on the day we flew out.

Came here because we were in the mood for some seafood and this place came showed up as one of the best seafood spots. The food was great but go with the Spicier options so the food has a lot more taste. Mild is pretty low in sauce. We tried the “all of the kine” sauce and it was very tasty. The service was also very helpful and friendly. Would recommend it.

I have been to seafood boils all over the US and this was probably the most disappointing experience at a seafood boil. The Snow Crab one pound was definitely not one pound. They charged us for extra sauce for extra corns. Our son ordered crab ragoons. He got three for $15.00 seemed over priced.

Great little spot to stop at before or after the movies or even if your just running errands. They have different options as far as food goes. They have combos for people if they are really hungry. You can get different options from: shrimp, crab,or green muscles. It also comes with corn , sausage and potatoes. To fried catfish , fried calamarior other basket options. They also do a very nice prime rib or opakapaka plates and the prices are very reasonable. Service is usually good here.

This was a laid back local restaurant that we were introduced to by 2 friends and before we left the island we had to revisit and brought 2 more friends. They loved it too! The food, service and atmosphere were excellent! Definitely try the elote, street corn, the fresh fish and boiled shrimp were simply delicious!!

This place is okay. The service was kind of lame. No greeting. No smile. No acknowledgement. The food bag was basically tossed in front of me. No “enjoy” or “lemme know if you need anything”. Maybe just bad time for me but that was not good service. Anyhow, the food was fine. Kind of on the stingy side. The fried wings were extremely small. Seemed like they purposely picked out the smallest wings possible to serve it to you. Seafood was served in plastic bag which was also stingy on sauce. There’s barely any sauce on the bottom of bag to scoop. But the crab legs and clams were both very fresh and tasty.

I order 1 pound of shrimp and 1 pound of clams and 3pcs. Of corn and 6pcs of sausage. When I order I told them that I will bring the food to Oahu. When I open the food the sausage is missing and the sauce is so little. The food is good tho but I hope next time double check all orders before giving to the costumer.
