Social Profile:

We are just some homegrown locals with big dreams of what our pizza places can be for our guests, team, and community! We are not just a pizza joint. We are craftsmen dedicated to preserving the trade and art. Cherishing the rich nostalgia of the parlors we grew up in, we honor them with an artisanal nuance of offerings on our wood fired thin crust sourdough pizza. Nolo is our scratch-casual approach towards New Haven pizza with an emphasis on distinction. We reinvented architect Vincent Amore’s iconic Jet Cleaners into the spacious and modernized Nolo; our beautifully reimagined Da Legna, serving our city for over 10 years on the infamous State Street. We proudly collaborate with the great folks of Hoax Brewing to pour the finest brews!

Wood-fired artisan pizzas & small plates offered in a casual, industrial space with exposed brick.

Good, kid-friendly, not spectacular. I enjoyed the penne with vodka: the pasta tasted very fresh. My kids enjoyed the Patate pizza with mashed potatoes and bacon (though they picked out the spinach, because they’re kids). The plain cheese pizza was serviceable, but if you’re looking for something like a tomato pie with mozz from the Big Three you might be disappointed: there’s some char, yes, but this is not like the great New Haven pies. Our service was slow because the restaurant looked understaffed and had a large party, but our servers were nevertheless super nice and accommodating.

Love this pizza place. They have good selection of pizza. Good taste and presentation too.
Waitress was really nice and had a good patience. She explained menu very nicely & it helpful to take decision.
Plenty of sitting place. They have their own bar and good choice of drinks.
Resturant have around about 25 car parking.

I’ve been to Nolo many times, probably 20 times or more. It was one of my favorite pizza spots in New Haven until my last visit. I typically brought every new visitor to CT there, but the experience was so bad this time that the smell of the pizza still makes me nauseous.

I ordered my two favorite pizzas and both were horrible. One had sausage so stale my friend actually had to spit it out. Something has clearly changed, whether it’s the management or the staff in the kitchen. There was zero effort; the toppings were just dumped on, and the pizza was drowning in tomato sauce. It is disappointing to think that on a day that wasn’t so busy (I could literally count the guests), they would let the quality slide this much.

Having visited this spot so often in the past, the decline was easy to spot. It was a horrible, horrible experience. I won’t be coming back until the nauseating memory of that pizza dissipates, which may mean I’m never coming back at all. If nothing is done, this could be the start of a gradual end for this establishment. It always starts with one loyal customer saying “never again,” and unfortunately, management may not realize the damage until it starts affecting the bottom line.

Absolutely delicious pizza. Reasonable prices. Great service. Plenty of parking. The sourdough crust is so good and they are generous with the toppings. They’ve got everything down perfect. I highly recommend the Torina, Funghi, and Clark Street. Definitely the best new haven pizza in my book! Even the decor is nice, I love the cozy plush booths and the LED lights. It’s very unique. In the summers the outdoor seating is lovely too. It gets very busy so definitely get a reservation. Come try them!!

Someone introduced me to this place some years ago when they were at their old spot. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked. Love the Clark St. pie and the custom one I usually get. Everyone has opinions but I personally think this is the best pizza in New Haven. No hurt feelings if anyone says otherwise.
Enjoy.

Very nice restaurant. Great atmosphere. We got The State and The Figara. The State was the best supreme I ever ate. The Figara awful. Worst use of prime ingredients.

The State is a 7.4. The Figara 4.7.

Top 3 places for pizzas in New Haven. Most exotic in my opinion. Hot Honey was great added with goat cheese. My girlfriend really enjoyed her minestrone soup and berry salad.

As a Connecticut native, I don’t say this lightly — Da Legna’s Nolo is serving some of the best pizza in New Haven right now. And in a city famous for apizza, that’s saying something.
The crust is perfectly charred, the toppings are creative but never overdone, and every pie comes out balanced and packed with flavor. The vibe is cool, laid-back, and exactly what you want from a neighborhood spot.
If you think you’ve had the best New Haven pizza, go here — this might change your mind.

Flexing that New Haven pizza muscle, the region must welcome the newest kid on the Block (at least new to me), Nolo.. This spot has easily entered the top five New Haven pizza places for me this year.

Having visited their location a few times and also experiencing their pizza offsite. I will say this place is consistent and creative and absolutely delicious. Not only do they turn out some of the best New Haven style pizza, but their cocktails are top-notch as well.

I don’t know if I have a pizza favor yet because every time I turn around there’s something new but stay tuned for an updated review if I can make up my mind in the future lol. Highly recommend visiting their location. It’s a cool vibe and you won’t be disappointed
