Paid for a large. Container was not full. Compared to the portions for dine-in, this is way less. Never ordering from there. This is not what orange chicken should look or taste like. It had no oranges or orange flavor. The first time I ate there, I dined in. The orange chicken was really good. Tasted like orange chicken and had only broccoli; it did not have all this filler crap. You pay for orange chicken and get vegetables with 5 pieces of chicken in a sauce. Save your money and go to Hyvee Chinese.

Hands down best place to get pho, quality and quantity 10/10. My girlfriend and I always come here at least twice a week to eat pho and chicken wings. Waiters are some of the nicest people I’ve encountered, never had a bad experience here highly recommend.

If you ever find yourself in Sioux City, do yourself a favor and stop by Da Kao Vietnamese Restaurant! They serve the best pho in town. The broth is so rich, flavorful, and incredibly comforting. Every bowl tastes like it was made with care.
But it’s not just the pho! Their menu is packed with other delicious options too: spring rolls, vermicelli bowls, banh mi, and even some Chinese-Vietnamese fusion dishes. Everything I’ve tried so far has been fresh, well seasoned, and absolutely satisfying.

The food is always excellent. Service is fast and friendly. Came back to the table to check on us. Atmosphere is pleasant and very clean. We will definitely be returning.

During my visit, I experienced very poor customer service from one particular server. She came to our table only once to deliver our drinks and food and did not return to check on us afterward.
I also observed what appeared to be inconsistent treatment of guests. The server seemed polite and attentive toward some customers, while being dismissive and unprofessional toward others, including Black and Hispanic patrons. This created an uncomfortable and disappointing experience.
Additionally, the staff at the front of the restaurant were unwelcoming and rude. Overall, the lack of attentiveness, professionalism, and quality of service significantly impacted the visit. Given that all customers are paying for their meals, a basic level of respect and consistent service should be expected. Unfortunately, the food quality also did not meet expectations.
I hope management addresses these concerns to ensure all guests are treated fairly and receive an improved dining experience.

The food portion is always on point, flavor is on the mark every single time!!! Typically I always get the #7 it’s the BEST in town, without a doubt! (I’ve tried other restaurants in town and they NEVER will compare to Da Kao!) The #17 is also a family favorite…. truly everything on the menu is excellent! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is updated and clean! Such a Sioux City staple don’t go anywhere else if you want a traditional Vietnamese experience ❤️

OK I was a little skeptical about finding really delicious Vietnamese food in this area but boy was I gob smacked. This restaurant is top-notch and I have eaten at Vietnamese restaurants from coast to coast. I ordered the Vietnamese crêpe, which was delicious and I also got an appetizer one of their fresh spring rolls that was also delightful. If I’m ever back in town in that area, I’ll be visiting this place again thank you for the delicious lunch.
