Da Andrea Chelsea is such a cozy, lively spot for a weekend treat. The brunch menu is packed with authentic Italian flavors — fresh pasta, perfectly cooked eggs, and cocktails that make you want to linger a little longer.
Everything tastes homemade and comforting, but still feels special. The vibe is warm, the service is friendly, and it’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit.
Highly recommend for a fun, delicious Italian brunch in Chelsea.
Service is good.
We don’t eat much, so we just ordered Carpaccio, Fettuccine, and shrimp. But but we ordered two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc.
Search wonderful night.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t rise to the level of the setting. Everything we ordered was just okay, nothing memorable. The biggest disappointment was the lobster Benedict. The texture was off, almost like a dense cake with a sandy feel, dry and lacking any real lobster flavor. It fell well below what you’d expect from a dish like that. The rest of the plates were fine, but simply not remarkable.
In short: stunning place, solid service, but the food needs improvement to match the experience the space promises.
The food, however, is the true star of the show. You can tell the pasta is handmade with love; the texture and depth of flavor in the Pappardelle with Sausage and Peas are simply outstanding. Every dish feels like a tribute to traditional Italian cooking, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that transport your taste buds straight to a trattoria in Northern Italy. Don’t skip the appetizers either—the fried calamari is light, crisp, and seasoned to perfection.
The service is the cherry on top—attentive without being overbearing, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. In a city full of dining options, Da Andrea stands out for its consistency, soul, and undeniable charm. It is easily one of the best dining experiences in NYC.
We came here on a weeknight and tried:
Grilled octopus – Nicely charred with a good smoky flavor, tender and well-cooked.
Caesar salad – Nicely dressed with fresh shaved parmesan and good balance in the dressing.
Tuna tartare – Beautifully plated in a tall stack and probably our favorite appetizer of the night.
Pappardelle ragù – Thick, toothsome noodles with a hearty ragù sauce. Perfect cold-weather comfort food.
Grilled shrimp – Cooked well and served over a simple side salad. Solid, but less memorable than the other dishes.
Desserts – We shared panna cotta and a sorbet trio (raspberry, mango, lemon). The lemon sorbet was the standout: perfectly tart and refreshing.
Overall, this is a great choice if you’re looking for a low-key but romantic wine bar–style dinner in the Village.
