We drove 2.5 hours to try D.Motown and we’re glad we did. Unsure of what to expect we hopped in the car to taste some of the most tender meats we’ve tried. Both the corned beef and pastrami were very tender and full of flavor, the Russian dressing was good as well. My wife went for a piece of peach cobbler which was on point, but a little vanilla bean ice cream on top would have pushed it over the top. The bread was the only drawback for both of us, either the meat flavor overwhelmed it’s flavor or just it wasn’t there. Either way we’re both very pleased with the overall experience from The D.Motown Deli!

First off I have been seeing their videos all over tik Tok for months. It was only about a 20-minute drive from my house. The staff was friendly courteous and patient ( I even saw Angel there) to the line going out the door. I waited about 15 minutes for my food which I didn’t think was bad. I got the medium corned beef sandwich on an onion roll with cheese and mustard. I got the special of the two small egg rolls and a slice of cherry cheesecake. I waited till I got home to eat it and it was still fresh, hot and soft! This is definitely the best corned beef I’ve ever had in my entire life and I’ve eaten a lot of corned beef, especially coming from Detroit. This will definitely be my new spot. My daughter who is very picky ate half of my sandwich!!

I’ve been to delis all over the country and have left reviews everywhere, so believe me when I say this is the best corned beef sandwich I have ever had in my life. The texture and thin sliced consistency of the meat are perfect. Most places serve it thick and chewy, but this one melts in your mouth. I have no idea who is leaving negative reviews, but they must be trolls. This place is the real deal.
From the very first bite you will understand what I mean. You will say that guy was not exaggerating. It is not just good, it is unbelievable. If I could give it six stars I would. The flavor, the freshness, and the way the meat comes together is absolute perfection. It is a home run that cleared the stadium.
If you are in Detroit even for a day or two, do not skip this place. You can try Detroit style pizza later, but honestly that might need to take a back seat to this sandwich. It is that incredible.

The flavor of the corn beef is good, but it’s like they chop it up before putting it on the sandwich, not sure what that’s about. For 20 dollars I don’t think it’s worth it to be honest, it definitely does not look like the Instagram pictures

This is the second time that I’ve been to this establishment and for the most part, they have great food. I drove all the way from Farmington Hills to purchase a large corn beef sandwich today. I head back home to enjoy it and to my dissatisfaction the meat was salty and it was too late for me to call to complain. The first time that I had, it was fantastic that’s why I didn’t mind driving there. I do plan on going back one day.

I’ve watched all the hype on social media and it kept coming on my pages for TikTok. So, I came, excited to try the food and meet Angel but he was out.
I placed my order online for pickup. Surprisingly, the place was empty when we pulled in, but before leaving, the folks were coming in.
I paid a total of $56.00 for the order.
I specifically asked for my Russian dressing to be on the side, because I HATE it on my sandwich, and no cheeses. Guess what? Dressing on it AND on the side. The sandwich was just ok. They didn’t listen to me (Angel’s wife) when I said no dressing on my sandwich, and I had it under special instructions on my order.
My hubby got a corned beef on onion roll with Swiss and mustard. He thought it was just ok.
Now the egg rolls!? PERFECTO! I’ve never had a corned beef egg roll. I enjoyed it.
All in all, this place isn’t bad, but all the hype made it seem like it was extraordinary. I drove out of my way to come here. I won’t do it again, but for those in the area it’s good food. The ambiance is family friendly.

Hands down the best pastrami and corned beef I’ve ever had. The meat is perfectly cooked, insanely flavorful, and piled high just the way it should be. You can tell they take real pride in what they serve. On top of that, the employees are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. This place is a must-stop if you’re anywhere near Detroit/Hamtramck — I’ll definitely be back!

Although I didn’t get the corn beef sandwich, I got the corn beef egg rolls and the were hot and delicious. Just the right amount of cheese mixed in with the corn beef…the size was big and fried just long enough to were it wasn’t too crunchy. And that banana pudding..I don’t know who made it, where they got their desserts, if it’s in house desserts but it is fye.. I couldn’t stop eating it it was so good. I would definitely go back.

Such a busy place on a Saturday but the lady at the counter was super busy and the team there got the orders out very quickly. The place was very clean and everything looked so good. We ordered corned beef sandwiches, a roast beef sandwich and corned beef egg rolls. Everything was pretty good, of particular note was the roast beef sandwich. It was very tender and tasty.
