Way to expensive. 2999 for a large pizza are you crazy . You can go to hungry Howie’s and get a extra large pizza for like 24 bucks in Hudson Michigan and Hillsdale Michigan. I don’t think I’ll ever understand why stuff is so expensive and small town America but stuff really needs to change. Pittsford is a very small country town and it’s been around forever but it’s two expensive. Their pizza sauce is not pizza sauce like you would normally get. It’s definitely not worth it and their toppings taste different from the other traditional pizzas that you would normally get. Stay away from this place

It’s been a while since we ate at Upstate. Used to come here a lot. After having dinner here tonight, we couldn’t think of why we stopped coming, other than the fact that there are so many dining options in Manhattan, it fell off of our radar. More likely is the fact that they don’t take reservations and there was always a long wait to get in. It made it hard to plan ahead. Unless, you get there a little before 5:00, when they open. By that hour there’s already a line. So if you’re wanting to eat here, get here by 4:45 or plan on getting on the list for them to call you when a table or bar seat opens. I’ll bet a lot of nearby bars benefit from people having a drink as they wait. Once you get in, have the happy hour oysters and beer or cider ($12). Follow up with mussels steamed in beer and house cured salmon. This place is one of a kind. Service is amiable and efficient. The fact that the restaurant has no refrigeration (other than for beverages) is a great marketing hook for an oyster house–it’s got to be a fresh shipment every day.

Warm sandwich on a cold rainy day. Friendly staff made conversation and offered me coffee and pie while I waited for my lunch. It might be against the rules, but I ate my pie first. There was no judgement! Very nice experience.

No waitress anymore. You stand with your menu and place your order in a window. Went in and sat down. Go back to the window when done to pay. Don’t wait for the bill at your table.

Staff are always extremely friendly. Food is consistently hot, fresh, and well made. In all the years I have been ordered from here they have yet to mess up a single order!
