Our server took great care of us, fast and friendly. I had the beef, tomato and green pepper and my companion had the pork fried rice. Both meals were served in no time at all. Hot and delicious as well.

I visited the original David Fong’s a long time ago with my dad when we were in the cities for new years. We both remembered the restaurant for some of the best Chinese food we have had. Unfortunately the original restaurant closed, but the food still lives up to the memory here.

I came for dinner on a Friday night and was able to be seated instantly. All of the staff was very friendly, the food is very affordable and you get a large portion too. I ordered a dinner combo (chicken chow mein and egg foo young) along with an order of egg rolls. Everything was extremely delicious.

Take note that the yellow sauce accompanying the eggs rolls is hot mustard and not a special house sauce (don’t dunk your egg roll in it unless you also wish to have an accidental out of body experience).

I will surely be returning with my dad to try many more dishes in any future visits to Minneapolis.

Took my brothers here for dinner, worst experience I’ve had in years.

To start, when we arrived to our table, the older woman serving us didn’t ask if we wanted drinks when other tables were given soft drinks, also worth mentioning that when one of my brothers asked for a fork, the lady asked “did you eat it?”, not sure if that was her version of a joke, but either way extremely unprofessional.

I ordered the chicken chowmain with an egg roll and it was just disgusting. A pile of slop covered in nasty gravy, mediocre rice and an egg roll, the only good thing on the table was the damn bottled soy sause. All that just to be charged $50.

Will never be coming here again, and I suggest no one even think about this place.

I liked the original Fong’s in Bloomington, but it closed. D.Fong’s, as far as I can tell, is about the same menu.

Good food. Small seating area. We got seated quickly and served quickly on a Saturday night. I liked it. I’d certainly eat here again if I’m in the area.

Thanks for the great service!

I and my family have been eating at David fong’s since back in the day when the Mom and Dad on the one in Bloomington. I live in prior Lake I was eating at the location over here in prior Lake then yelled at by Cindy’s husband there. Started eating over at the Savage location The brother owns this one have had very good experiences for the most part up until last evening. I told the girl on the phone when I was placing my order she treated me as if I was new making my order I like two sweet and sour sauce per egg roll I said I needed a total a packets My son decided to order a set of egg rolls as well so making three orders of egg rolls I then proceed to ask for 10 packets she made a big stink about it wanted me to get the house sweet and sour I told her no I would like 10 packets she deliberately puts only eight packets in my bag when my son went to pick the food up I realized there was only a packets. We only got two quarts of rice me being that I paid for one of the courts got my one for the egg foo young but never got the one for my $17.50 order of sweet and sour chicken.so they dooked me on two sweet sour packets a quarter rice and then robbed me by $2!. They chose to go in and put their own tip I deliberately asked her the total as I do everywhere I go she told me my total was $62.10 I called up there while my son was driving to pick our food up and ask for an additional receipt sure enough just what I expected there was an additional $1.98 adjustment on my bill they went and put their own tip on now remind you this is not the one that my son signed cuz my son drew a line through the area being that they overcharged for Asian food as it is and times are tough for everybody I chose this day not to tip unless I’m dining in I do not tip. I waitress for many years and I know that it’s very deserving to receive a tip. Begging up my food after overcharging me I’m not going to tip so I did not appreciate them just taking my money the way that they did I’m going to put these pictures on to show you the picture of both receipts I’m beside myself that they just help themselves to my money. My husband had a stroke his feet removed and all been put on dialysis all during the last 4 years times are tough for everybody who the hell did they think they were stealing for me? I guess it will not allow me to add the pictures of the receipts this is a shame. I guess people just get away with robbing people!

I would love it if the space were a little bigger. Loved David Fong’s in Bloomington. This doesn’t have the same ambience, but the service and food are top notch!

Food was very bland and I mean all of it. The white rice and lo mein were dry and texture felt like it wasn’t cooked all the way. Made me really want to ask for my money back. First and last time I’m going there.

Extremely disappointing!!! I ordered a Chowmein combo for one, which comes with chicken chowmein, egg foo young and chicken fried rice. Chowmein and egg foo young had absolutely no flavor, the rice was just okay if that.. I attached a video of the celery, it was mushy like a banana it had to be sitting in a pot overnight. I attached a pic of the price as well and the date. I wouldn’t even take a free meal replacement if they offered, will not be back ever again. I highly suggest not wasting your hard earned money here!

I have Celiac disease, and I struggle to find restaurants that are knowledgeable and safe for me to eat at. This place was absolutely amazing!!! Our server was a sweet man, who was kind to our children and very attentive to our needs, especially mine. Gorgeous and clean restaurant, service was absolutely stellar, and the food was out of this world. I have not had real Chinese food in more than a decade, and not only was it safe for me to eat, it was absolutely delicious. I almost cried! Thank you so much, D. Fong’s!!! We will be back!!!

Third generation of Fongd. Carrying on tradition of good food. Try house hot mustard. All dishes are winners. A lot of take out. Enjoy
