Got there too late for breakfast. They switch over at 1030. But the burgers were definitely satisfying. I had trouble finishing my bacon double cheeseburger. Be warned don’t order a double burger unless you can dislocate your jaw like snake. That sucker was enormous! Even after cutting it in half it was hard to eat. But it was so good I persevered! The fries were hot and crispy too. Can’t wait to come back for breakfast. They only take cash or checks. And I’m sure they prefer cash. So don’t show up with empty pockets. But if you’re in the area and they’re open check them out.

This is the kind of place that some people may pass by from the looks of the outside. But you will miss greatness if you are one of those people. The food, service and warmness you get is second to none in this area. Wish i could pick this place up with the people and take it back to MD with me.

Set your watch back 40 years and come on down. The food is fairy average but the service and nostalgic atmosphere is excellent. One of the few places in town to sit and have a hot breakfast. A great place to bring your grandparents.

Totally worth the 6 mile detour from the highway. Lovely, simple little spot with very nice and attentive folks. Food is fresh, veggies crisp, , coffee is good and bright. Lotsa locals of all races who clearly cherish each other..

The best food ! Everything cooked to order. Eggs cooked the way you want. Bacon is good and pleany. Grits are hot and good. Biscuits and gravy is delicious. Toast and fresh sliced tomatoes. The Best hot dogs in town! Great friendly service. Great atmosphere. Always greated with a smile. Great homemade food. Would go there before anywhere else for the best food, service, and price in town!!

1st time there, BUT it definitely won’t be our last. We live 45 minutes away so we do wish that they were open for supper. I got hot dogs with chili & slaw, both homemade. Wife got a cheeseburger, huge and hand pattied. I saw a hamburger steak on someone else’s plate. It was massive.

There aren’t many breakfast options in Martinsville any more. But honestly, with a place like D & A Cafe you don’t need options. The food and service are down home good and prices very fair. It doesn’t look like a lot from the outside, but trust me (and the full parking lot), you’ll be glad you tried it!
