So many people have told me this is the best burger in the state. I can say this place does have the BEST burger in the State. I have tested many burgers from around the state of VT and this burger place tops it all as of 8/4/24. Think that’s a LIE? Google Burgers Of Vermont. Play list is ranked in order! The burger was amazing. Smash burger was crisp and the Jump back dressing was a YES please. Also the ripper dog was tasty and the fried pickles YUM. Small simple menu keeps it in check. A place that first looks like a 50s diner seems to feel more modern and with a hipster vibe the longer I stay. The thinnest smash burgers I’ve ever had. They are still delicious and juicy with an amazing crisp on the edges. The beer selection is EXCELLENT with many different craft options. Creative spins on dishes like the Nashville fries make this restaurant noteworthy. The real underdog is their pickled onions that just bring so many things together.

First of all, I travel a lot and have pretty high standards for food – eaten at a handful of Michelin rated restaurants and usually reference La Liste for my choices but there were none listed in Fairlee, VT. This was such a cool and unexpected experience visiting friends. George, Nara and Matt were awesome. The outside is simple and nice but the inside transforms into a fresh vibe/atmosphere and the service is amazing. The drinks were excellent and the food was unreal. This is a hidden gem in a small town you may not think to visit but should take an extra 20 minutes to visit.

Service was great and the restaurant atmosphere is cute, but the fried chicken was a little lackluster. Excellent coleslaw. Nothing special about the pickles or honey butter. My husband liked the burger ok but said it was too salty. Overall probably worth stopping by to give it a try.

Best burger, best cocktails, best vibes and the hardest working staff in the biz. Honestly, this place is way too high concept and too good for the location. If you don’t get it, don’t leave a stupid review. These people work super hard and I don’t want their business to suffer just because some idiot left a one-star review because they’re butthurt about not getting a res. Haha what the hell is that?! Just go to McDonalds if speedy fast food service/thawed frozen inedible food is what you’re expecting. This place isn’t for you.

Love this place in all it’s iterations! So grateful to have it in Fairlee. Friendly service, excellent food, not cheap but more accessible than some of the other restaurants around. The food is incredible so it feels like a good value. Great cocktails too!

OMG! Best burger and Fries + Fried Chicken ever! Don’t miss the pickles and matcha soft serve!!!! What an amazing hidden gem! Can’t wait to go back. Service was spot on as well and the beverage list including, beers, ciders and wines was a well curated and diverse selection. Go! And go often

12/12/25 Appears at least temporarily closed. Drove two hours to try the burgers. Supposed to be open on Friday for lunch until 2. Arrived 1:30 and they were closed with no one in sight. Tried calling in advance to confirm hours but they have no phone! Ratings not based on anything other than our disappointment at going all that way for nothing. They could at the very least have updated the web site.
