Street parking is difficult during busy times. Old time eatery with awesome food. Lots of old decor to look at during the wait. It was busy at the time we visited. Seating was quick, ordering was quick, service was fast and friendly. Food was delivered in a timely fashion and was hot, fresh, and delicious. Everything was reasonably priced. We will return when in the area.

Stopped in West, Texas for lunch, so glad we did. Cute place and delicious food! I’m guessing we just missed the lunch crowd after 2pm, so super chill atmosphere. I had the turkey sandwich with Czech fries and the hubby had fried pork chops! Yummmm

While we haven’t tried the whole menu…yet, everything we’ve tried has been great food! Not pictured but recently tasted was the cabbage rolls and Reuben sandwich! Both were really good if you like that sort of thing. We’ve also eaten the Big Al’s burger, sausage, beef tips, open-faced roast sandwich…not to shabby at all. Our favorite here is the Bohemian! Simple… fresh hoagie perfectly toasted with combination of spicy mustard and their sweet acidic sauerkraut with melted pepper jack and sausage. Delightful!

Great food and great people. My beautiful queen is Czeck and this was heaven for her. She loved it so by default I loved it.

Good little spot with very friendly service. Food had a great flavor but came out warm at best. Finished it all off with a piece of pie and was very glad I made the stop in.

If you are looking for a place with character and real homemade food, this is the place to go in West. I had the sausage, potatoes, a sweet sauerkraut and stuffed cabbage. My wife had a burger and fries. The food was homemade and freshly made. If you are looking for a nice restaurant, this isn’t it. If you want handmade food in a Diner type setting with character and friendly service, give it a try.

I’m giving this place four stars because even though they advertise themselves as being a Czechoslovakian restaurant they don’t have a lot of ethnic items. Most of their stuff is American and I can get that anywhere. Also, the sausage casing was very chewy and didn’t break down very well. Other than that the food was great, the second was fast, the waitress was really nice and it was a good experience.

Delicious food, friendly waitresses, a cool old building with lots of character and good prices make this our favorite Czech restaurant by a LONG SHOT! I had the combo plate with aCabbage roll and Sausage while my wife had the two Cabbage rolls. Both came with a trip to the salad bar, Czech fried potatoes, Sweet Kraut and homemade bread. We’re looking forward to the next visit already.

Came with a friend who moved from Czechoslovakian, we both got the Pork Roast. I thought the food was decent, he really liked the pork but was disappointed that the dumplings are not like they are back home. They are more the standard, American dough balls.

We drove from Big D to Czech-American Restaurant as a result of an episode in Texas Country Reporter show on YouTube. We arrived there in time for dinner. We ordered stuffed cabbage, Czech fries, pierogies and The Bohemian sandwich and union rings for her. The location is rustic, the ladies are friendly and helpful with ordering and prices reasonable. Having lived in a East European neighborhood as a youth, the food brought back many memories of the Czech, Polish, Ukrainian neighbors who shared their culture with me.
