I think the food is great and the people are great my only issue is I drove over an hour to this place to get some greens specifically… I get home and sat down ready to eat to open my box to this NO GREENS ugh I tried to call the number multiple times but no1 ever picked up I am very disappointed and upset especially being pregnant and all I was was craving was greens to pay for them to not ever get them. But like I said I like the food and the people so I’ll try again another day nd hopefully get a discount considering what just happened today.

Very sweet and friendly service if you love southern food. I got the cat fish it was delicious with your choice of sides I picked mac n cheese with yams with corn bread.. I was very impressed and husband got steak and shrimp everything perfectly seasoned and fabulous!! We will be back! They change the menu almost everyday we heard so excited to try soon .

This place is a jewel in the small town of Junction City, Kansas. The Soul Food is amazing. I felt like I was at home. There’s friendly staff that will give you a warm welcome. On Fridays the all you can eat catfish is huge and plentiful. I ordered the ox tails in rice with gravy. My 2nd time there. I also like that they cater to Military with discounts.My wife and I enjoyed our experience. We’re new to state and this restaurant has made us feel like we never left home.

So I heard great things about this spot. Well well well let me tell y’all about my experience. The food was nasty!!!!I ordered fried catfish, yams, fired okra and corn bread. The Yams were not yams more like they microwaved some sweet potatoes. NO mac n Cheese (I was very upset about that so I got the okra). The catfish was soggy along with the okra. The corn bread broke down like dust, which made me think it was cooked on Sunday morning(2 days old). I will say the customer service was great and the crack juice they had made was the best thing going.

Lunch stop on our road trip. It was worth the stop for local goodness. Kid friendly and we recommend the catfish and shrimp meal smothered. Yams were delicious. All other sides were good. Great service and friendly.

1st visit tonight and I am POSITIVE we will be back. Phenomenal food, friendly service. Catfish was amazing. Sides we had were excellent: pinto beans, yams, Mac n cheese. Great place for a comfort meal.

Awsome place, my crew and I were looking for a good meal while working in Junction City. It was true luck that we found our new home away from home. We have tried most of the food this week and it is unbelievable how good the food is. The pork chops are just like my Grandma down south used to make. The chicken breast was so juicy it literally squirts juice when u slice it. If this site would let me give 6 stars i would ask for a 7th.

3.5 stars. Called in our order of 2 smothered chicken meals with rice, green beans, and Mac and cheese for the sides on mine and Mac and cheese and yams on his. The texture of the yams was strange but they tasted pretty good. We both loved the Mac and cheese and green beans. But smothered Chicken and rice I’m sorry to say was the saltiest entree of food I have ever tasted and neither one of us could finish it. I do cook with salt, I love Old Bay on everything…but after I was done eating about half I downed 2 bottles of water and was still dying of thirst and my throat was burning, not because of any spice, but a salty burn. My husband is military and he can somewhat handle the really salty food at the Dfac and he said that was saltier than anything he’s ever had overseas. So, if you like salty food, you’ll love it. But I’m not gonna lie, if we weren’t about to move, we would be coming back again and again for their Mac and cheese and also, their corn bread was fantastic too. The lady we ordered from on the phone was also super sweet, food was ready super fast and ready in 20 mins as promised and we are sad that we discovered this gem so close to moving. 3.5 stars because of the excessive amount of sodium.

Cat fish was amazing. Came to Kansas two years ago and we ask everyone if they knew where to get cat fish no one knew. Heard about Cynthis’s on radio glad I did. Great home town cooking. You must try it.
