I stopped in this evening for an early dinner and I have to say , this place absolutely delivered.
Customer service is huge for me, and they were on point from the moment I walked in. The server was attentive without being overbearing, checked in at the right times, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed.
The food came out very quickly, which I appreciated, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. The pho was rich and comforting with tender slices of beef and fresh herbs. The spring rolls were light and perfectly paired with the peanut sauce. And the banh mi Sandwich, Packed with flavor, crispy bread, and great texture balance.
The drinks were refreshing (highly recommend if you like something citrusy), and the overall atmosphere was cozy with warm lighting and a clean, modern vibe. It’s a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or family or even a relaxed date night.
Definitely coming back.
The pork spring rolls had a very nice crunch to them.
The salad was delicious and refreshing, salad cane out before any of the meals.
The service was fast and the location was spacious, I will definitely dine with Cyclo again soon.
I got the banh mi when I went and my friend got their pho. Their classic banh mi was delicious and a good portion. It came with plenty of meat and it was dripping with juices. The bread was also so warm and crispy on the outside. The pho was also good, and a solid portion but I wish it came with a variety of other meat toppings besides sliced brisket. Otherwise, it wasn’t bad. Overall, a pretty solid Viet spot and I would come back!
Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. Cyclo has outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. I ordered the lemongrass chicken to go, but since it was early in the day and not busy at all, with no one sitting outside, I decided to sit there and eat.
As I started to open my bag, a staff member came outside and told me I couldn’t sit there. I reminded her that I had just paid for my food, assuming maybe she didn’t realize I was a paying customer, but she insisted that I had to leave and gave no explanation or alternative option.
I was honestly shocked. I had just purchased my meal and left a tip, yet I wasn’t allowed to sit at an empty outdoor table to eat it. It felt unwelcoming and unnecessary. Paying customers should not be treated that way.
The clay pot rice was more successful. The meat was tender and flavorful in combination with the rice provided a satisfying, steady base to the more flavorful components, a comforting dish done well. The beef pho, too, was pleasantly surprising: the broth leaned peppery, adding depth without drowning the palate. A word of caution on spice—go light on the jalapeños unless you’re truly chasing heat.
A vegetable side dish offered a welcome contrast, fresh and well-prepared. However, the sauce it came with proved divisive. While I found it palatable, my dining companion found it overly sweet, detracting from the natural flavor of the vegetables.
Though the kitchen hasn’t quite nailed consistency across the board, there’s promise here. I’ll be returning to try the bánh mì—an item that might better showcase the kitchen’s balance of bold flavors and restraint. For now, this spot shows potential, even if it still has some fine-tuning to do.
1. They will not cancel your order unless you show up in person to demand cancellation. When asked via to order to cancel an order that is +1 hour late, the restaurant said that they will but it will take time. When I visited them later in person (they offered but was evident that they did not actually believe that I would show), they “claimed” that they tried but I needed to do it on my own. Only after I have shown them that my delivery app clearly did not have a cancellation button against active orders, they reluctantly picked up the phone, called the delivery app again, and got my order cancelled. TLDR, Cyclo clearly could have cancelled my (at that point +1.5hr late) order without me walking over in 15″F. They just chose not to.
2. When in a pickle, they may not pick up your phone if you’re a known entity. I tried to resolve this issue multiple times over the phone, but at one point, they simply gave up picking up my phone calls. After making at least 3 consecutive calls, I borrowed another person’s phone and called the restaurant. Cyclo immediately picked up. When confronted about it, they claimed that this was an honest mistake. Choose which story to believe in when they stop picking up your phone call for trying to triage what was supposed to be a goodbye meal for a friend leaving town in <4 hours via flight.
3. Certain points of the conversation leads me to raise doubts on their commitment for an efficient, customer-centric delivery operations. I have, on recording, Cyclo staff saying that delays more than several hours have happened, but sometimes these things happen. With obscure order tracking system in place and a potential disregard for on-time delivery shown on this conversation, I have serious doubts about Cyclo’s aptitude to run a successful delivery operation.
Check my review history. When I leave Google revies, I have only given 5-star ones thus far. Heartfelt congratulations on being my first <5 star, Cyclo.
Can’t say anything about the atmosphere or service, but the pork banh mi was very solid, a great option for corporate dinner. Super flavorful and the bread was soft enough but still crunchy so my mouth didn’t hurt when I bit into it. Generous amounts of pork, along with crunchy vegetable, created the perfect bite.
