Today is different. It is now American owned, playing religious music, and using current fads like “dirty” sodas and adding “Korean bbq”. I brought my business in for a combination banh mi. Not a grilled chicken po-boy with miracle whip.
Worst of all for me is the fact that the new owners told me they use the same authentic ingredients. The mayo should NOT be white. The veggies were crisp but not pickled. And the fish sauce tasted like vinegar sauce, not fish sauce in ANY way. The bread was neither flaky nor light. Rather dense and firm.
The only thing positive I have to say is the service was fast and the owners were clearly communicating about orders. Also gave recommendations. Just don’t sit there and lie to me about your ingredients being the same as the original owners. It’s a disgrace to the culture the food comes from.
From the new owners of this establishment to the foodies seeking authentic Vietnamese food:
PLEASE go to Dong Phuong Bakery in the east or Le Bakery in Biloxi to experience the real deal to see the difference.
Fresh, hot, delicious, great portions and presentation
So glad that I found them….
I had grilled pork banh mi… Grilled pork vermicelli and taro milk tea, I meant to order the slushy version ,but it was still amazing!!! It was all terrific!

Authentic Flavors and Comforting Bowls – A Must-Try Pho Spot!
If you’re looking for a bowl of rich, flavorful pho that warms both the body and soul, Cu Tea is the place to go. From the moment you step inside, the inviting aroma of slow-simmered broth fills the air, setting the stage for a comforting meal not to mention the hospitality of the owner!
The broth is the star of the show—deeply layered with beefy richness, hints of star anise, cinnamon, and other fragrant spices. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the protein options, whether, shrimp, or other meats are tender and well-portioned. The fresh herbs, crunchy bean sprouts, and zesty lime add the perfect finishing touch.
Beyond the pho, their banh mi, and fried rice are equally impressive, offering fresh, vibrant flavors that round out the experience. Service is friendly and efficient, and the cozy ambiance makes it an excellent spot for a casual lunch or a comforting dinner.
Overall, Cu Tea delivers on authenticity, quality, and taste. Whether you’re a pho enthusiast or a first-timer, this place is worth every visit!
