Came here as recommended as part of Chase Sapphire Exclusive Table. We reserved for 2 at 6:00p and we’re seated right away. The menu is only one page with a few selections of appetizers, pasta and main courses. They also list at the bottom of the menu the local farms where they sourced their ingredients. We order the Hamachi and Cabbage as appetizers. The Hamachi is fresh and delicious. The cabbage is surprisingly good given it is such a pedestrian ingredient. The chili broth gives it the flavor and the pork candy crumble provides the texture. For further enhancement, I’d recommend a chili puree rather than the broth, which soaks the cabbage and could be over powering. For main courses, we had the pork chop and duck breast. The pork chop has a crispy skin and is cooked perfectly. The duck is a bit of hit and miss. While the taste is good, the duck itself is a bit chewy. It is paired with a biscuit, which taste great, but does not feel too cohesive with the duck. Pairing the duck with sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts or red cabbage stew would probably be better and create a more complete dish. Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner.

If you’re debating going to Customshop, go! Ambiance, drinks, and food were great! We sat at the bar which had great lighting and offered an intimate experience. Our bartender was awesome. She recommended drinks and food. Everything was so fresh and well crafted! Pictured are a skinny margarita, rockett fuel cocktail, empanadas (my favorite), duck, and the tagliatelle (also my favorite). Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion! One of our new favorites in Charlotte.

Customshop is hands down one of Charlotte’s best dining spots. The food is outstanding — creative, perfectly executed, and made with obvious care and high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without feeling stuffy, making it great for both special occasions and casual nights out.

Service was excellent, and a special shoutout to Lilly the bartender, who was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and she made some truly great cocktails and wine recommendations while making everyone feel welcome. Can’t recommend Customshop enough.

This was my first visit, and I can see why reservations are hard to come by unless you book a couple of weeks in advance. The space is small and intimate, which actually adds to the experience, it felt cozy without being crowded or noisy. The cocktail selection and wine list were both thoughtfully curated and offered plenty of good options.

What really stood out to me was the hospitality. While we were waiting for our table, the bartender stepped out from behind the bar to personally welcome us and ask how we were doing. It was such a small gesture, but it made a great first impression and set the tone for the evening.

The menu is concise, which I personally appreciate, I’d much rather see a focused menu done exceptionally well than an overwhelming list of average dishes. We ordered the blue crab ravioli, and it was outstanding. Savory, rich, and perfectly balanced. I easily could have eaten two or three more plates. The empanadas were just as flavorful and satisfying. We also shared the tiger prawns, which were excellent, and the hibachi dish ended up being a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was incredibly flavorful and ended up being one of my favorites.

Overall, it was a great experience, and I would absolutely return.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Custom Shop! From start to finish, everything was impeccable. Zoe, our bartender and waitress, provided excellent service .

We tried a variety of dishes: bruschetta, duck empanadas, pork belly, bass, and the ravioli, and every single item was exquisite. Each dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. We also ended the night with a coffee martini, which was the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable meal.

Custom Shop truly delivered a delightful culinary experience. Highly recommend both for the food and the outstanding service!

We have eaten here a number of times over the years, and have always enjoyed it. We went out for a birthday celebration on February 12, and were extremely disappointed in the food. Service was fine, and the restaurant was fairly busy. The two raw dishes we ordered were both not fresh, and we didn’t finish either one. One of us got the shrimp dish, and this should have never left the kitchen. The shrimp were not fresh and were undercooked, disgusting and inedible. The dish was sent back and replaced with a pasta dish which was just ok. The duck was awful! I have had duck here several times before and it was always tender and delicious, this was tough and not properly cooked. Even the wine we ordered was not very good at all. It is extremely disappointing to come to a long-time favorite like this and have this kind of meal, despite receiving recognition from Michelin. The kicker was that despite noting on the reservation this was a birthday, this fact was ignored until we were walking out and the hostess blurted “oh happy birthday to whoever’s birthday it was…”

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and overall, it was a great experience. The service was excellent—our waiter was polite, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy, though it does get busy here.
We tried all the crudos and pastas, and everything was delicious. Our favorites were the main courses—the fish was excellent, and the duck was perfectly cooked. I also ordered a flan, which was exceptional.
The only minor comment I have is that I wish they had brought a candle with the dessert, as I had mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration.

Amazing experience. Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique dining experience with a curated menu that boost excellent fusion of international flavors with strong execution. Having lived in Chicago and in Europe, this place really impressed me in terms of flavors and execution. The vibe is cool and service is superb. Nice cocktail menu as well. We loved all the dishes we ordered so the recommendation is in no particular order, but in my opinion you must get one of the dishes from the crudo section – we got the shrimp one, which is acidic, refreshing, with some heat and nice touch of crunchy puff rice. Small plate – can’t go wrong with the shishito peppers and fingerlings, both simple dishes but was amazingly well done with nice balance of flavors and addicting sauces that keep you coming back for more spoonfuls. We went with two pastas to share, it was a great decision because we couldn’t pick which pasta was our favorite. The canestri with pork ragu was delicious with the pasta cooked to perfection with a nice pork ragu that’s meaty but not heavy, garlicky and savory, very satiating. The squid ink pasta was absolutely delicious with pasta perfectly prepared that’s tangy and delicious with chorizo and shrimp. We had no room for desert unfortunately. I’m looking forward to coming back next time and trying the rest of the menu!
