Ordering is done through a computer , the staff behind the counter grills the meat fresh, and the smell around the area is actually wonderful . The grill itself seems decent. But the lady working on it didn’t look very motivated at all . Maybe she was just having a bad day… Still, when I asked for mayonnaise, the answer was cold and uninterested ❄️. I didn’t get mayo, salt, or ketchup.
When the food finally arrived, it didn’t look too bad . But… the bun was icy cold , the bacon was chewy and served cold , and the meat had no salt or seasoning whatsoever — same with the cheese , completely tasteless. The fries were bland, cold, and unsalted . The onion rings were the only thing somewhat edible, until I bit into one that had half a raw onion head battered inside .
This was honestly the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life, and the first one I couldn’t even finish .
Such a shame, because this spot has so much potential. With just a few small changes, it could be turned into something so much better ✨ .
If you have the time and don’t mind the price, the burgers are pretty good.
Burgers were overcooked. I also ordered wings, but after a long wait, they told me they were out, along with tenders as alternative. They asked me to choose an alternative and suggested a burger and fries, saying they would bring it out to me for the inconvenience. That never happened. I had to go back and remind them, even after the manager made eye contact and walked away.
When the food finally came, the meat had clearly been cooked ahead of time and was extremely overcooked. Overall, unprofessional service and a long wait. Do not be fooled by the crowd. Just go elsewhere.
Finally had to chk with the kitchen guy about the order who then brought the same. Almost took an hour. So kindly just avoid going to this restaurant at the airport. There are other good eating places so prefer those
Custom Burgers is just meh. I dislike they force you to use dirty, fingerprint covered kiosks to place your order. They’re disgusting. The staff do not care about customers at all. They move slowly behind the counter and glare at anyone who dares ask a question. There is no hurry here. The food is meh – frozen burgers cooked to death and served on low quality, mushy buns with fries that are neither good nor bad.
I’m guessing it’s really hard to find people who want to work at an airport burger joint – having to get to Newark, go through security, only to dish out bad food to harried passengers is not a fun career.
